Yea those guys nail the Beach Boys. Get a copy of Pet Sounds (2001 remaster) and listen to it on the best sound system you can find. Read the liner notes as you listen to the album. You will have a whole new appreciation for the Beach Boys and Brian Wilson in particular.

Music seems to be popular sub-theme on the forum. So I thought I would post one of my favorite bands and videos. I'm sure it won't be everyone's cup of tea but give it a listen.

I was really surprise by the sound of the cars. I had heard some very early audio the engine manufacturers had released months back. But still wasn't expecting the sort of low rumble of the "power units". Restricting them to 15,000 RPM doesn't help either.

Do a search and look at build-ups of the various kits. I'm not saying the IMC/Testors or the Aurora/Revell can't be built into a very nice model but they are far more challenging to build than any of the Fujimi/Revell versions. Also only the Fujimi/Revell and LS/Arii are 1/24 scale, all the other kits are 1/25 scale. If that matters.

The muffler is from the Fujimi kit. The rest of the exhaust system is scratch built. Painting to follow.

Does anyone have any experience with this kit? I know it is a pretty simple kit from the pictures I have seen but what does the body look like? Is it accurate and could it be a good starting point for the '65 Daytona winner? The box incorrectly identifies the car as the '64 winner.

The surf boards are killer. Are the stripes paint or decals? Where did you get the logo decals?
