  1. Fingers crossed: http://msn.foxsports.com/speed/formula-1/f1-gene-haas-to-meet-fia-bosses-over-2015-f1-entry/
  2. This is my favorite Ferrari. The kits tires do let the kit down somewhat. Excellent build Jurgen.
  3. Stradasports carries HRM's stuff and they have photos as well. I would try ordering through them. The GS's ran some fat tires. If yours are unusable you might try the tires from Fujimi/Revells GT40. Not sure they will fit the GS wheels however. I think the back tires would be okay but not sure about the front as it is quite a bit smaller
  4. The afx is a reference to slot cars; Aurora/AFX. I like old school drag racing but not real knowledgeable on the subject.
  5. Wait, we are talking about the Accurate Miniatures Grand Sport-right?
  6. I also liked the Benneton B188 mainly for the color scheme/graphics. Thierry Boutsen in Detroit(!) 1988
  7. Not sure I agree with your concern over the wheels & tires. I think the wheels are beautiful. I wish the tires had a better finish on them but I think they are correct. Historic Racing Miniatures offers several very nice Halbrands, if you are interested in replacing them.
  8. Try DMC Decals for the NGK & Nissan decals. I have purchased from Nils several times -ships fast and has nice product.
  9. Nice score Rex.
  10. Found this in a box of parts I purchased. I would like to restore it as a crate motor or maybe in the back of a drag boat, but what engine is it? My guess is a Ford 429. And what kit is it from?
  11. Tamiya kit built basically box stock with aftermarket decals (Studio 27). It should have the high horseshoe rear wing but I didn't like the look so I went with the standard wing.
  12. NASCAR lost me when the silhouette of the cars became standardized. When I can't tell a Ford, from a Chevy, from a Toyota (!) without the grill stickers then its basically became a spec series. How many times do you want to build the same kit?
  13. What is your favorite F1 car of all time. Mine is the Tyrrell P34. Not necessarily the most beautiful but I think it was very innovative.
  14. The trend started when they did away with the low rear wing a few years back and it has gone steadily down hill every since.
  15. Paint and assembly has begun.
  16. Well a mini disaster struck when the passenger side A pillar snapped in the middle. A glue only repair didn't last long. After some consultation with a few fellow modelers I decide to reinforce the pillar with .010 strips. It affects the windshield fit some what but it definitely strengthens the pillar and the repair.
  17. Same here 65slotcar- nice trading with you.
  18. HRM's FIA 289 in a '63 Cobra
  19. Ford 260 in '63 Cobra.
  20. Polar Lights Ford 429 in '71 Mercury Cyclone
  21. Nice Drew, maybe you could sell model cars and decals out of your trailer as well. I got hooked on model cars when I was a kid. My Dad took me to a dirt track, Jennerstown Speedway (it was dirt then). There was a vendor there selling built-up models of the race cars - $10 each if I remember correctly. That was a lot of money back then so Dad shot down purchasing one. I bought my first kit soon thereafter when I had enough money. Been building every since.

Thanks Sonny. I have the XR-4i as well as the obscure JTCC version. I'll get to them some day.
