  1. I find this diagram helpful. Maybe you will too.
  2. I don't have much Chaparral reference but I thought the manifold looked more like this?
  3. Fujimi Fuchs wheel centers in turned aluminum rims.
  4. The 63 Corvette items you mentioned from AMT.
  5. No the ARII kit did not includes those parts only the LS version.
  6. Looks like it could be the Williams Martini F1 Team
  7. Could you possibly post a picture of the manifold and Webers?
  8. I've heard good things about this kit but never actually seen one. Looking forward to following your build.
  9. Excellent.
  10. Bill the Owens Corninig kit is marked 1/24 scale and the Stars & Stripes Corvette kit is marked 1/25 scale. I just compared the bodies and they are exactly the same. So I am not real sure which scale they are. Regardless your right , the AM kits are a better choice.
  11. Motor Racing Replica News (Issue 4) did a nice article on the 2C and 2D. They used the 327 block from Monogram's Rampage Camaro but this was written in 1991(!). There has to be a better choice now. For the 427 I would suggest any of Revell's 70's Corvette kits (Owens Corning, Stars & Strips etc). Not sure about the 327, I would have to do some research.
  12. Here is the nearly completed 'lump' as my man Steve Matchett likes to call the engine.
  13. Here is a picture to show how a black wash (The Detailer, Black-It-Out) can really bring out the detail. Both engines are painted flat aluminum but the engine on the right has the wash added. I will dry brush the raised details with chrome silver just before completion to added further depth and detail .
  14. Here are the completed carbs with air filters attached. Theses are the Revell kit's carbs stripped of chrome, painted Tamiya titanium silver and fuel fittings and fuel lines added.
  15. Yea I am fired up that Porsche is taking a crack at the top tier at Le Man again and with Mark Weber at the wheel.
  16. The rumor is they spoke to Ferrari and McLaren but decided on Williams.
  17. Williams has signed a contract with Martini to become its title sponsor. IMHO Martini has designed some of the most beautiful car graphics in motorsports. My avatar photo is but one example. I'm very excited to see what Martini comes up with. They are going to have their work cut out for them. This year's F1 cars are pretty hideous. Here is the link
  18. Steve, put me on the list for a few if they ever become available.
  19. Steve, any update on the casting of your engine?
  20. What! your suppose to keep track of this stuff?
  21. Very nice Ray.
  22. The tires are beautiful, are these available to purchase?
  23. Excellent. I seem to be saying that a lot about your builds Curt.
  24. Builds like this transcend mere model building, they tell history. Both outstanding builds, thank you for sharing them with us.
  25. Very nice build. I love WRC and in particular the Safari cars. Its a shame they stopped running this event.
