  1. Of all my years on this forum and on Randy Ayers NASCAR forum, yours is the 1st stock version I have ever seen or know of. Looks Fantastic! Revell has two version of the 41 Willys Americana. One has the standard open hood with some of the chrome hood/ body trim ( early version?) and the other flipped front end. So glad to see a stock version & glad to see you did it.
  2. Rockin! 🐎🤟
  3. No wonder you didn't answer the door bell last time I came over!, didn't hear me huh! TV musta been to loud..... Only thing loud was the exhaust vibrating the rest of your works in progress off the model table. Even the USGS had to print a retraction for a false seismic alarm here in eastern NC when they found out it was from you. Lol. Remind me to check your bags next time we come from a model swap meet/show. I didn't see that one but I saw the plain dull gray one you were grinning ear to ear about! Awesome!
  4. When Maurice and me finish taking our break,we'll get back on it. Maurice says it's Cylinder 3..... Fantastic! Own the original clearbody, kept it in storage till I got married. Had it on display in our SMALL apartment. Was sitting on a foot stool watching a race when a commercial came on. Jumped up to spin around to head to the kitchen my feet got tangled up and fell headlong into the shelves that the #43 displayed upon. Needless to say Richard finished his race he was involved in.....As for the display shelf stand, the #43 clearbody and me, two were completely totaled from a third party who was over zealous about beating the TV commercial back to the race. Got the kit when they came out. Also bought an aftermarket conversion kit to make a 71/72 with the C pillar filler and steel rims. Seeing your, again "Fantastic!", might be time to revisit that kit in the back of the closet.
  5. Just remember this "visitor" last week to our shop...
  6. Seamless application of the Johan body, AMT donor chassis and the aftermarket 3d interior and wheel assembly. As if it came right of the box. Great build....Love the Jade!
  7. Strange but intriguing. I admit I Google the actual Mazda ......Yes! It's real! Looks good, something different from the Ordinary post seen here. It looks like it would be a Blast to drive in real life!
  8. Sweet! The 66/67 Chevelles would be the only choice of which Chevolet make would truly representation the overall 60's
  9. I think Stellantis Corp. Design dept. needs to get in touch with you. Your updates version of some of the classis nameplates would bring more attention than the EV hype of the past year, and even more than NASCAR EV interest ( definitely LMAO)!
  10. All the taping , hand holding, the eye balling and countless dry runs of assembly and fitment......it drives me crazy. Bad enough that I have felt fairly confident to spray paint and assemble but that small fitment issue pops up. I remember one build that I was overjoyed knowing that it was going together be one of my overall best. One small fitment issue create another. I handle the body so much that I had rubbed off/ thinned paint on some edges and others areas the skin oil from handling allow the paint to smudge. The 2nd paint job never came close.... It happens.... I can strive to do better on my next project. I do pride myself that I took an vision and enhance it for others to share and enjoy. I still joke that I'm "stealing intellectual modeling techniques and ideas". To answer your original question ( yes I do ramble on.....), very little if none with this printing. However the Pontiac Can Am was the most "needy of attention and work" of the three 3d kits so far...
  11. 3d printed kit purchased from Wall 2 Wall Hobbies in August at the Model Car Builders show in Winston Salem, NC. No engine, engine bay, exhuast or gas tank. Had a previously built 69 Cougar with a severely warped roof that I had purchased sometime years back that the engine bay was a separate part from the body, the rest is parts box donations. Krylon Colormaxx Emerald Green. Inspired from thread photos (Any Updates On The Moebius 72 Maverick) 351/429 production prototypes in the Car Kit News & Review Section..
  12. Sweet and Clean!
  13. HOOPTIE! That mere automotive description give you all rights, priveleges, verbally AND physical abuse of intentional and/ or unconscious neglect and nonchalant maintenance here in Eastern N. Carolina. Lol! You nailed it in 1/25 scale!
  14. A bad experience Indeed.... I have had a part or two on the last 2 printed kits break or didn't quite be completely formed but Thank Goodness the seller was quick to respond & correct. Instead of a full computer generated montage of the kit in a finished state that looks smooth and almost real, show several shots of the actual parts. Big difference in a percieve expectation and the actual result that you will have to build upon. I have turned away from purchasing some 3d offerings for exactly that reason. Back to the main reason I am sharing my response on your post......It looks great, I would definitely put it front and center in my display case. They be a bit pricey but the payoff is priceless when it's the Unicorn of your collection...
  15. Speechless....absolutely jaw dropping. I myself have one coming with in the first of the month and hope I can recreate what you have done. The printed decals you made were the icing on the cake! I did notice from the pictures of the 3d kit I purchased that it also had the incorrect valve covers but figure that some modification would be in order to correct. I assume that the v/covers are separate from the heads and prefer the stock Air Cleaner Assy to the kit's aftermarket rendition. Dang it, that sure is one good looking Malibu ....
  16. Beautiful!
  17. A friend of mine grafted the roofline of the AMT 60 Starliner to a 61 Galaxie. Starting at the top of the front roof behind the top window trim, cut at the bottom of the C pillar trim to and along to the bottom rear window trim, then curve to the trunk lines as a one piece cut/ graft. His version looked like a seamless transplant and created a a big time envy on my part! Big bucks for a long shot Unicorn but just knowing you got something 99.9% of our fellow modelers don't have would make me right giddy....
  18. Lucky friend! Beautiful all over. One of Fords best looking rooflines, wish it came on the AMT 61 Ford Galaxie...
  19. I'm still debating on pulling the trigger to get one. Gorgeous body style, one looong trunk lid which kinda (Imho) throws the roof lenght diminsions off. The 2nd 3d kit (77 Pontiac Can Am) had more warpage issues than my 1st kit. Did the same process with the hot/cold water way more than once. With the chassis more so I would take popsicle sticks, trim lenght as needed, place on both sides of the affected warp area, then use clothes pins to clamp/ hold in place. The do the hot/cold water treatment & and leave for a few hours at room temp. Repeat if needed if the results are not to your liking but either leave the sticks/clothes pins or add a extra popsicle stick (same thickness or something thinner) to compensate for some return to the original bend/ warpage ever so slight. Hope this tid bit of info helps. Great build! I do have to say that the paint choice is a little radical for me but sometimes you have to jolt the crowd. The more I look back over it, it grows on ya and is a pretty darn smooth application for what it's worth. One last thought, have you've ever seen the movie "Thunderbolt and Lightfoot" with Clint Eastwood & Jeff Bridges? A version of that Monaco jacked up with 10" rear shackles, 50 series (WIDE) rear tires and a flat black paint job comes to mind.....along with the bunnies! Cool looking build thar....
  20. If you are in the over 60+ bracket, you either rode in one, your parents/grandparents owned one, your neighbor had one or there was one parked beside you at the grocery store. I can taste the salted peanuts in the Coca Cola while sitting in the 3rd seat.... A few of ya'll know what I'm saying.....
  21. I imagine the weathering definitely took longer than the build....but what a visual payoff!
