HOOPTIE! That mere automotive description give you all rights, priveleges, verbally AND physical abuse of intentional and/ or unconscious neglect and nonchalant maintenance here in Eastern N. Carolina. Lol! You nailed it in 1/25 scale!

A bad experience Indeed.... I have had a part or two on the last 2 printed kits break or didn't quite be completely formed but Thank Goodness the seller was quick to respond & correct. Instead of a full computer generated montage of the kit in a finished state that looks smooth and almost real, show several shots of the actual parts. Big difference in a percieve expectation and the actual result that you will have to build upon. I have turned away from purchasing some 3d offerings for exactly that reason. Back to the main reason I am sharing my response on your post......It looks great, I would definitely put it front and center in my display case. They be a bit pricey but the payoff is priceless when it's the Unicorn of your collection...

Speechless....absolutely jaw dropping. I myself have one coming with in the first of the month and hope I can recreate what you have done. The printed decals you made were the icing on the cake! I did notice from the pictures of the 3d kit I purchased that it also had the incorrect valve covers but figure that some modification would be in order to correct. I assume that the v/covers are separate from the heads and prefer the stock Air Cleaner Assy to the kit's aftermarket rendition. Dang it, that sure is one good looking Malibu ....

A friend of mine grafted the roofline of the AMT 60 Starliner to a 61 Galaxie. Starting at the top of the front roof behind the top window trim, cut at the bottom of the C pillar trim to and along to the bottom rear window trim, then curve to the trunk lines as a one piece cut/ graft. His version looked like a seamless transplant and created a a big time envy on my part! Big bucks for a long shot Unicorn but just knowing you got something 99.9% of our fellow modelers don't have would make me right giddy....

Lucky friend! Beautiful all over. One of Fords best looking rooflines, wish it came on the AMT 61 Ford Galaxie...

I'm still debating on pulling the trigger to get one. Gorgeous body style, one looong trunk lid which kinda (Imho) throws the roof lenght diminsions off. The 2nd 3d kit (77 Pontiac Can Am) had more warpage issues than my 1st kit. Did the same process with the hot/cold water way more than once. With the chassis more so I would take popsicle sticks, trim lenght as needed, place on both sides of the affected warp area, then use clothes pins to clamp/ hold in place. The do the hot/cold water treatment & and leave for a few hours at room temp. Repeat if needed if the results are not to your liking but either leave the sticks/clothes pins or add a extra popsicle stick (same thickness or something thinner) to compensate for some return to the original bend/ warpage ever so slight. Hope this tid bit of info helps. Great build! I do have to say that the paint choice is a little radical for me but sometimes you have to jolt the crowd. The more I look back over it, it grows on ya and is a pretty darn smooth application for what it's worth. One last thought, have you've ever seen the movie "Thunderbolt and Lightfoot" with Clint Eastwood & Jeff Bridges? A version of that Monaco jacked up with 10" rear shackles, 50 series (WIDE) rear tires and a flat black paint job comes to mind.....along with the bunnies! Cool looking build thar....

If you are in the over 60+ bracket, you either rode in one, your parents/grandparents owned one, your neighbor had one or there was one parked beside you at the grocery store. I can taste the salted peanuts in the Coca Cola while sitting in the 3rd seat.... A few of ya'll know what I'm saying.....

I imagine the weathering definitely took longer than the build....but what a visual payoff!

The most fluid body style of the Sixties. Reminds me of a Great Uncle who live in Virginia who owned one. Massive hood with a engine that spanned from one side to the other. A ride that felt like you were floating along and a backseat that my brother and me held pre-WWE wrestling era events in until Referee Dad laid some smackdown at the next stoplight! Man that looks Great!

The last picture makes me think of a possible Dodge Ad with the slogan, "This might be the only time you might want to lay your hands on a Demon!"

Before I drive through your "jurisdiction of authority ", I might be adding another carb to the manifold....

One obscure photo, not the best in clarity. Dr. Don Tarr #37 Red Coca Cola 1969 Charger 500 reappears. Built the #37 out of the parts bin. About the only items that were a pair or set has to be the engine block, rims, backing plates and tires. Everything else were source deep with in the parts bin from years of accumulation from assorted kits. The body is a Revell Charger Daytona. +See 1st picture+ Instead of splicing at the front of the doors up along the engine cowl, I took the Charger Daytona (CD) hood and made a mark on each side of the hood that aligned with the center of the front wheel well, removing the frt clip of the CD. Using the same hood, I did the same procedure for a 69 Charger , removing it frt clip & then attaching it to the CD body. Very minimum putty & sanding require. Reinforce the fender graft applying plastic strips underneath the front fenders. The decals were made STS Scale Model Decals. Terry Borchers did a wonderful job in resurrecting a long fogotten echo and was most pleasant to deal with. Decals laid down with no issues and really bought the #37 to life! Testors Gloss Red and and assortment of flat , satin and Gloss black did the rest. Enjoy and question welcomed.... Chuck And as always....a few extras from the "archives"...

1980 Jeep Macho Hondo

I wanted to use deep set steel rims but the kit tires inside diameter were larger than the steel rims or any other rims in the part box for that fact. I did run across the ones on the Jeep and decided to use them. Didn't want to have any Chrome but just worked out that way. I also didn't have any tires the same height as the kit tires... -
Just plain and simply Beautiful. My Dad had a 72 Grand Prix that was yellow with a half black vinyl top. A gorgeous body style with cockpit dash/console that surrounded the driver. Rode great and had the power.
