  1. Great color choice! That's some "Heavy Muscle"
  2. Built the Dodge Coronet R/T and the Plymouth GTX...Great kits. Love yours!
  3. Good-looking Impala and a good choice on going with the wide whitewalls!
  4. Lol! You're right! Went back to check the instructions...yep! Well you can't unsee that goof 🤪. Learned long ago it's easier to fess up to a mistake early than to ignore it till later. To late in the game for reconstructive surgery since it is firmly cemented and I don't want to particularly create more harm than good in the correction. But somehow the wheel base stayed the same! My sincere apologies to the Mustang crowd in the forum for a grevious inaccuracy that "steered" me in the wrong direction. Can't help but laugh about it, doesn't change the enjoyable time I spent making this kit and rest assured this will be the one and only Mustang prototype with this innovative front suspension in my collection from here on out!
  5. In my neck of the woods we call that a "Sunday truck"......meaning that you only drove it on Sunday's to Church, out to eat afterwards then back home to get washed for next Sunday.. Sunday Sharp!
  6. Just some nascar rims from the parts box. Can't recall which kit the tires came from but they definite truck tires in a car kit. The bumper is a popsicle stick with the rounded ends trimmed off.....
  7. Just the top panel of the ramp bed assembly was warped. To anxious to wait around for a replacement, the hot water in a measuring cup, apply, then twist a little beyond then cold tap water treatment until it work out nearly flat, emphasis on nearly! But everything lined up when applying ramp bed to chassis. I figured with the stickers on the side, everytime they went to the track they were picking up extra sponser stickers here and there. Instead of tossing the extra ones, they just stuck em on the side. Over time they just added up.
  8. Getting ready for the Saturday night 75 lap Modified Street Stock Class at rhe County Line Speedway...
  9. WTH! (What the Henry!) Would not believe what I've been through to figure out and upload pictures from my Gallery. Never been a problem until now but it has been resolved. Seems that my last update on my phone converted photos to HCIE instead of jpg configuration and the forum doesn't accept HCIE files. This is a great kit! A really great kit. A detailed 351 Cleveland engine, a detailed chassis espcially the front suspension, correct engine bay and a simple to put together but detailed interior. All of this capped by plenty of decals for the the engine, interior, wheels and body accents. My first choice was yellow but after Googling 71 Mustang Boss 351, I was intrigued with the Grabber Lime. Very few produced in the Boss 351 and 429 variant, not a big seller when introduced in 71 but a highly sought after paint scheme in today's market. Krylon Fusion Gloss Jungle Green is a close match. I do plan on the Yellow version. Overall a joy to build. All the sub sections go together nicely and when applied with others. The only issue is the rear view mirror is applied to the windshield. Can be a big mess if a unsteady hand fumbles the application. 2nd is the lower rocker panel and side stripe decals. Be extra vigilant when sliding the decal off the wet decal paper onto the body. If the decal folds over onto itself it can be a tense standoff to unfold and reapply. Make sure to slide the decal just slightly off the backing paper, apply that part tothe body and pull the backing paper at a slight angle while holding the decal at the starting point as an anchor. You will have to adjust for a straight decal line. Will add a undercarriage pic soon...
  10. Cool looking with a brutish street appeal! The Vega was a cheap car, either you love it or hated it and like the Pinto they were eveywhere. Economical, great on gas, rode on 13" tires to which there was a never ending supply of, any and every parking lot had a hand full in the mix. Rarely did you see a clean well kept version. The interior slowly deterioted into a abandon living space. The 4 cylinder engines took a beating but so did your wallet when you had to buy oil to replace either what leaked out or smoked out the tailpipe. You never really changed oil, you just constantly added oil to a thirsty aluminum engine cylinder. Great for a first car, cheap transportion or if you wanted to break the 0 to 60 mph in two days mark.
  11. Glad to see you on the forum! Hopefully soon the moderator will get you cleared to post pics.....plenty of great models awaiting to be shown and shared!
  12. Awesome! Not to be "passed by" to say Happy 4th of July....
  13. One of the two best kit from Lindberg, the other is the 66 Chevelle. Authentic look for a early 60's street brute!
  14. Hope you didn't leave the keys in it in that alley.....be gone in less than 60 seconds!
  15. I got the same kit but haven't come close to starting on it. I hope I got the "more detail parts than what came in the Original " box like what you had.....quess I'll have to open it up and look really hard to find them! Blue Ribbon winner you have there!
  16. Unreal! Took two looks and still had to enlarge the pictures to make sure it was a model!
  17. I'm sure the competition always got a good view of the rear as it drove off from them....while getting smaller! A1 work!!! Gotta love a Mopar!
  18. This was a much better body style the the following "catfish" Gen that came afterwards. Nice work!
