What is a good match for late 60's to early 70's B5 blue. And also the current B5?

Great build of a true legend

A Chryler product in any paint scheme is a winner! BTW, know anyone that has a extra set of those decals? (Inside joke)

Like the Campbell Soup ad...."It's Mmm Mmm Good!" Very Sharp!

Mercedes-Benz 450 SLC 5.0 (Esci/Italeri, 1/24 scale)

Wheww! That color pops! ? -
Crisp Showroom build!

Got the exact same one and it was so much fun to build bc of the pre-painted parts and body. Wished more kits were done...would probably have twice the number of built kits!

Regardless of the paint scheme, that laser stripe made it stand out! ? ? ?

1971 Dodge Demon ( or worse than one Demon)

THAT Green was my 1st choice! but you did a much better job. Looking at my collection I try to vary/ mix things up and when I was looking at my cabinets all I saw was green. When I looked on the other side.........that's right, orange! but the paint was already applied and it looks great to me! -
Don't fish but have outrun a Wildlife Fish and Game officer. Built last summer when the Auquarod Combo came out, decided to do something different as where I usually post In the car section. Van was easy and straight forward. Stance is a tad high. To bad there wasn't a molded open hood for the body. The boat was another task at hand. Slight warped top made applying to the hull such a enjoyable experience and forget trying to glue the header on after the motor is installed ( they weren't). Used a Rust-oleum Dark Steel Metallic on the van which in good sunlight sparkles. The speed boat was a base gold with Spaz Stix Candy Gold #15209 covering which imo gave it a fiberglass translucent metal flake appearance.

Only thing faster was when a Bullitt went by and a Charger had lift-off..... The Revell Beetle built last summer. Thoroughly enjoyed building, nice detail and fit Just your Testors Gloss Green.

Seems nobody flinched when Dodge introduced the Hellcat but in 1971 church groups got in a uproar when Dodge debut the Dodge Demon. Bad enough the younger generation drove like Hell but when driving a Demon, it just seem to reinforce a bad habit. Fronted by a playful caricature, church groups failed to see the humor of Dodge's advertising. Lasting only two years, Chrysler exercised the Demon to Automotive obscurity......or did it? A great kit! A little figity when installing the chassis to the body. The decals are thicker than normal and have a excess clear border around the stripes. I personally would recommend trimming as close to the stripe to have a better finished result. Trim in MM Go Mango Lacquer #28106 to simulate the Dodge EV2 Paint code of Hemi Orange. And a bonus! A resin body Demon from Bandit Resins I purchased a few years back using a 75/76 Dodge Dart as a donor.

That definitely will make a preacher of the Church of the Almighty Cubic Inch Displacement and Sanctified Smoking Tire want to lay hands on it and command that Demon to come out!.......and take me for a spin around the block. Can I git a Amen! Lol.

I remember reading somewhere some time ago that 1968 was the heyday of auto manufacturers selling cars with vinyl top. Almost anytime you Google a 68 year model there are several OE versions with vinyl top. Once again a great build and always look forward to seeing what comes next. Now if I can only get my "engine" started and catch up with ya!

Beautiful! That and the 70-72 & 73-77 Grand Prix were some of the best body styles that Pontiac produced compared to their GM siblings. But alas, the Model companies never gave the the ❤️ to make a kit...

One word......jealous! Would look better behind a certain black Charger.... You mention about a attempted 2008 remake, glad it didn't happen too. Still think Nicholas Cage and the director should have been publicly flogged. The best part of the movie that was Oscar worthy was the last two words...The End!

Great job! The new tooling is impressive with the top fender mounted turn signals and a more correct engine bay. Superb interior color choice!

Revell 1971 Boss 351 Mustang in "Medium Yellow Gold"
satterwhite78 replied to baycolony's topic in Model Cars
Just finished my 2nd Mustang 2 weeks ago but haven't had a chance to post it yet. I want to do my 3rd in bright yellow but I think you just wrecked that thought process. Dog gone it! that is one good looking Mustang. -
Doesn't look like a Go Fast Ford.....looks more like a Goes Way To Fast Ford...

Classy and Elegant

Looks like it's at top speed just sitting there.

I'll tell you how good it looks! It looks better than the one that beat me out of 1st place some years ago at the TAMS (Tidewater Area Model Society) for Factory Stock class. It's a Show Winner Fer sure!

It was a opened kit that my daughter found while weekend shopping at a Thrift store. The MPC Pinto Pony Express wagon she also got was open but both kits had everything. The Volare came with a hideous "padded vinyl 1/2 top" that the previous owner had already glued on. The Volare body has the T-top molded into the roof. With his overly abundant use of tube glue application in one spot, I was able to remove the faux vinyl top but had a 1 inch diameter section that didn't want to be evicted. Saw, scrape, sand, putty, sand some more, primer, sand some more, putty again, sand even more, primer......this could go on for days ( the post) I made the decision to sand the raised T-top strips off to go with a solid roof. When I get around to the Fuzzduster I will probably go with an open T-top. Enjoy your posts immensely and do look forward to the next one. I've had her for about 35 years...she's a keeper, just like my wife of 40 years this May! Thanks for looking and comment everyone.

You normally wouldn't associate Plymouth Volare with the Roadrunner nameplate but the 76 through 80 F body Plymouth were just a trim package. The 76/77 models the 318 engine came standard while the 360 came with a 2 bbl carb and single exhuast. The 78/79 models offered the 360 with a 4 bbl carb but only the 79 year model came with dual exhaust rated at 195 hp. The 80 year model and last of the lineage came with a redesign front end, the slant six 225 Cid as standard and the 318 as the only V8 option. Kudos to my daughter for getting this for me. The text she sent asked me if the Volare and a MPC Pinto wagon were rare. My reply was only w/o the Pinto but get it anyway. I borrowed a rear spoiler and rear side window louvers from a MPC Fuzzduster kit that I got from a friend. Unusual that the Fuzzduster had 3 rear spoiler, 2 stock and 1 custom, and the rear window louvers. Since the engine in the kit looked undersized( like a V6). I used the engine from a Joker Goon Monaco which fell right in. The rims were a close 2nd to the original based on a YouTube clip that I got my inspiration from. Bought Silver stripe decals from Microscale decals to custom apply to the hood, lower sides and rear panel. Used ModelMaster lacquer Hugger Orange to replicate the Spitfire Orange from the Chrysler Color chart (Sorry GM guys......not! Lol)
