  1. Doggone, Len, that is gorgeous!
  2. This should be fun! I'm along for the ride.
  3. That is just fandamntastic!! I love it! Seriously, this thing just put a smile on my face. I think you've captured the feel of these beasts. So cool!
  4. The first update on this project will be the undercarriage. Up first is a photo of a C6 Corvette. This is what I used as a reference for mine. I prime everything. The chassis was shot in Gravity Colors Dark Gray Primer. I masked the four square-ish areas and will leave them in the primer color. I shot the chassis in Tamiya's LP-5 Semi-Gloss Black. The two suspension pieces were shot in AK Interactive Xtreme Metal Aluminum. There was some tricky masking on these parts. And here is what I ended up with.
  5. You’ve done a fantastic job on those decals!
  6. That first picture was the money shot for me! Great looking model!
  7. Very unusual for me, I have started several kits and not finished them. I normally start one and plow through it whether or not I am feeling it. I have laid aside a couple of kits recently. I pulled out the Revell 2005 C6 Corvette kit hoping for an easy, hassle free, fun kit. So far it has fit the bill. I'll start by sharing a couple of pictures of what were the inspiration for my build. I chose dark blue body color with red accents in the engine bay, interior and rotors. Here is the kit. Here are the kit contents. Here is the color that I selected for the body. Here are a few pictures that show the inspiration of this build. Note that my interior will not have near as much red as the real car. I usually start with the body. I highlight the seam lines with a Sharpie to make them easier to see. In this picture, sanding has already started. I will try to keep regular updates going. As I always do, I am further along with this build than what I post. I like my updates to cover meaningful progress, like a whole completed subassembly kind of thing. Thanks for looking!
  8. Fandamntastic!! As has already been said, the paint color and paint work are perfect for this car. The photography is top shelf! Very well done!
  9. Thank you, Scot! Hasegawa has repopped this kit so many times, I can't keep track. It is the same kit, but there are a ton of different liveries. I really enjoy this kit. Of all of the many kit that I have, this one (Porsche 962C in general), is one that I have multiples of.
  10. As always, Chris, it is a pleasure to ride along with you on your journey. This is going to be another amazing model from your workbench. I’m glad that you are sharing it with us.
  11. Great job, Anthony!
  12. Very nice, Bob! You did a great job with this.
  13. Now that is a true land yacht! I can only imagine how much work you put into this. It came out fantastic!
  14. I’ve always had a soft spot for Dusters. My step sister had one and would let me drive it. Love the color and paint job. She is a looker for sure!

Badillac….perfect name for it! I like your take on this. I think I would be more than a little nervous seeing this roll up on me at night.
  16. You always do such nice work, Randy! This one is no exception. What a beautiful Vette!
  17. Very nice Mustang! That color really pops! You have done a fantastic job on all of the extra details as well. Thanks for sharing!
  18. Very nice, Rich! Truly iconic. I have yet to buy a Meng kit. Your endorsement of this kit might be the nudge that I needed…😉
  19. Well for once my timing was just about perfect! I read through the entire WIP thread yesterday during the Daytona 500 and here she is, all wrapped up! Truly a work of art, Pierre! Your scratchbuilding is top notch and I absolutely love your approach to figuring things out and making them a reality. Bravo, or as I like to say, Fandamntastic!!
  20. I’m sitting here with the Daytona 500 on and just read through eight full pages of this build thread! How on earth I never looked at this thread before, I have no idea. 🤷‍♂️ Pierre, there is literally nothing that I can add to what has already been said. This is just so doggone impressive! Thank you for sharing this work of art with us mere mortals. Holy smokes!
  21. A beautiful model of a beautiful car! I have always read that this is a tough kit to build. Looks like you conquered it!
  22. I hate to see that you are having trouble with the decals. That would totally take the wind out of my sails. 🫤. I didn’t see you mention this so I thought I would toss it out there. Have you tried using heat on the decals? Many guys use a hairdryer to soften up the decals. Personally, I use a small hobby heat gun, but you have to be very careful with those. A hairdryer just blows too much for my liking. Anyhow, hope this helps and good luck!
  23. You knocked this one out of the park, Tom!
