  1. I have always liked this car. You did a nice job on it!
  2. Thanks for the coverage of the show, Tim! I had to leave a little early yesterday, can anyone tell me who won People's Choice? TIA.
  3. I was lucky enough to get to see this one in person yesterday at NNL. That beautiful green paint job grabbed your attention from a long ways off. Brian had it at the end of a row of tables and you could see it from the other end. I was also lucky enough to get a personal "tour" of the model. It is even more gorgeous than the pictures he posted. The two model magazines kept Brian busy with photo requests of the other models he brought. A very talented builder, indeed!
  4. Very nice, Ian. That was back in the day when you could see a car on the race track and know who was driving it, or vise-versa, when you wanted to find your driver, you knew what car to look for. These days they change schemes race-to-race, it seems.
  5. You are a building machine! This is the first completed example of this model that I have seen. Nice job.
  6. You've got a nice collection going on, Jonathan. This is another beauty in the stable.
  7. Gorgeous!! Beautiful model of a beautiful racecar!
  8. She is looking good, Jonathan. Thanks for the updates!

    70 CUDAS

Great looking Cudas, Cliff. Both of them are soooo nice.
  10. That is sooooo nice! Great looking model.
  11. I just reply to.my own thread. That keeps it all in one thread.
  12. I would also like to give a shout out to James Duff, aka Niteowl7710, for his class win with his McLaren racecar. I hope he posts a picture of it. It is gorgeous!
  13. Congratulations to both Tom Kren and Eric Ritz on their awards! I had a chance to talk with Eric at Zanesville and then the next day at the Pittsburgh show. A very nice guy and a very talented builder. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with next!
  14. I'm glad you posted this, Rich! I told you at the show that if you didn't, I would....lol. Well deserved awards. I was happy to hear your name announced so many times! For those of you who have not seen Rich's work in person, you are missing out on a real treat!
  15. Yes, David, the kit is out at Hobby Lobby. I got one and looked it over this evening. I pretty sure this will be my Annual 24 Hour Build kit. Just have to figure out which candy bar to use.
  16. The normal, (or abnormal, I suppose), crew from WV will be attending. I'm guessing around 8 of us, maybe a few more.
  17. Thanks, Snake. Yes, I think it would be too metallic. I think the lights used when photographing this make it a little more sparkly than it would appear to the naked eye. But for what you described, I would think it is too much.
  18. This was shot with Testors 1848M Rootbeer One Shot Laquer.
  19. The only thing I see wrong with it is that there are not more pictures of it Very nice!
  20. Hahaha.....me too! (on both counts, I like Nestle Crunch and am easily manipulated) A couple of questions about the kit. Is this a recent release? I am thinking this would be a great build for the annual 24 hour build. Is this doable? Meaning, does the kit go together without too many problems? Any help is appreciated!
  21. This is such a nice, clean build. Just a pleasure to look at!
  22. That is pretty cool. It absolutely captures the 70's custom car look. The color is a real eye catcher. The next thing that caught my eye was the stance. She is sitting pretty!
  23. That is a Great. Looking. Model. Looks just right.
  24. I have used plain old white Elmer's glue, thinned a little. As others have said, just brush it on to the areas you want to flock. If you get a little too much on you can always let it dry and trim it off with a hobby knife.
