  1. That one baffles me, cus such an iconic vehicle which put Toyota on the map in all terrain vehicles worldwide. So yes would very much to have a full detail kit of this one, as the old Esci is showing it's age and shortcomings.
  2. Wow...this gets my attention. The BMW that is, still have the remains from an old Otaki kit from this model, so looking forward having this all new kit.
  3. Well I assumed that, "the design choices for a full open kit and a slab chassis" so guilty as charged 😉 But as I wrote, in this particular kit it looks like Revell chose, to put in the spotlight, the interior and (maybe/hopefully, more future) dress up parts and graphics. Also Round2 is doing similar things with their Craftsman plus series. But it doesn't stop me from shoehorning a 427 'vette engine in the amt '64 Chevy Malibu 😀
  4. I just see it says GMC on the box. Better change the topic title now 😉
  5. Dunno, IMHO not much to see engine wise in a Van, so more effort can be taken in dress-up parts, interior and exterior. Time will tell how many versions this tool will eject in the future.
  6. Just got a Revell newsletter which showed this GMC Van in the Stranger Things series of kits. Looking at the parts it's definitely not the old Monogram 1/24th scale, but all new tooling. Anyway Van's are always a great canvas for decorative artwork. Photo's courtesy of Revell. For more click on link below: https://revell.com/nl-eu/products/077329090-car-stranger-things?country=BE
  7. Some white tire lettering decals on the sidewalls will improve the looks.
  8. Yes....these are what I was thinking about. Personally I'm not a fan of altered wheelbase cars, I guess I prefer style over performance 😉 BTW love the photo you posted Rob. That car looks just right! Cheers Luc
  9. Wasn't the LeMans/Tempest albeit in coup form, a popular drag car?
  10. Great times to be an automotive modeler!
  11. Rob, Rob, Rob...you could've walked back to you car to get the phone. You leave me no other choice than to unfriend you on Facebook. JUST KIDDING! 😉 Cheers Luc
  12. Here's a build by Simon Antelmi. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1A7Xjirx1L/ Photo's courtesy of Simon Antelmi and Italeri.
  13. If you look in one of their socials, you'll even find a build of this kit.
  14. Always been more of a fan of the '67 than of the '66 Fairlane, certainly in top level trim. Blame Otis Chandler. 😉
  15. Sometimes I wonder if Australian sales would support adding Holden parts ( front facia, cockpit etc.. ) It was a neat car and have a soft spot for Holden.
  16. Interesting....but wonder which version, IIRC there were 2. Cheers.
  17. So by not removing, one still can get it into the right shape. Ok!
  18. Can't one just remove the "backing" and use the chrome grille to put the surround back to shape? Just wondering...
  19. The difference between OEM and both models or between both models? My statement was that there is no (noticeable) difference in shape between the amt anual and the Moebius kit. So both differ from the OEM,which is IIRC, that the drip rail goes down to soon, should be aft the imaginary B-pillar. Is it a biggie? You decide, I just wanted to say that sometimes those anuals are not the gold standard, no more no less. Cheers from this side of the puddle. Luc
  20. Much too early, I know Tim, but someday I would love to read your memoirs, not only model- but also car industry wise. Cheers!
  21. Bob, I remember that when the Moebius '65 was released, comments about the position of the C-pillar, yet the Amt 64 an anual which means the "gold standard" for some, had the exact same shape 😉 Cheers, from across the puddle.
