  1. Les, I think we all want to talk about something else, but the truth of the matter is that it has a serious impact on the hobby we love and certainly for the people who work at/for Round-2, Moebius, Revell USA, etc....
  2. Indeed. At best it will slow down future investments from manufacturers of which the US is the primary market but manufacture in China.
  3. Well if these Chinese, American designed kits become "unsellable" in the US, they may divert that slow boat towards the EU, Ha! 😉
  4. An all new '69-'70 would even be better, a clean start for many versions....
  5. Remember as a kid having a modelkit of this one, but don't remember which manufacturer and if it was a two or four door.
  6. Maybe a chance to see the Bad Boyz 'vette decals available again?!
  7. Picked the following up at a local hobby show. Neat items IMHO
  8. Heard today that a hobby distributor and a vendor who orders directly from the USA, both from the Netherlands are dropping Round2, Moebius. Revell USA and Salvino's. because they feel due to the extra charges, US kits will be a very tough sell, if at all. A model kit dealer I recently spoke with said, that a Savino's kit would be over €100 (about the same in USD) retail. Oh well.
  9. Wonder what the body of the same era Revell Venice designed Bronco looks like, dimension wise. For using it to convert an 93ish amt Ford F150 to a Bronco.
  10. Ditto, and if yes please with clear headlamp lenses 😉
  11. The problem IMHO is that there is no track record on these and it could very well be that if one company dares to put out some 70's C- body, or a mid '70 Ford wagon, it " might" sell like hot cakes, cuz one has to realize that nostalgia is a powerfull thing, which flashes over the bad. 😉
  12. Pure speculation on my part, but maybe they're looking into improved reverse engineering on that one and who knows they might include the sister car as well Cheers Luc
  13. The blue Linberg one is what I will be using Mark. BTW I'll probably will have to redo the upholstery of the bench, anyone who has photo's of what it should look like? TIA Luc
  14. Wonder how the roof on 1/24 snap-tite kit is....
  15. Well if one seeks more exposure to get more middle aged men into this hobby, this one might be the ticked. Cus think that side effect from the pandemic has passed, besides the movie fits into that age bracket as well I think, also maybe time to bring back the A- team van as wel, most rather remember it from the TV series than from that movie, same goes for the TV series CHiP's. 😉 Cheers Luc
  16. If they would do the Bluesmobile, the chassis with drive-train and floorpan including wheelwells would be a great starting point to add the already available 3D printed bodies, no?!
  17. Hi all, Is the Lindberg six cilinder engine from the ‘64 Dodge a good choice to make the Moebius ‘65 Coronet a low line model? Also anyone who has a photo on how the upholstery of the front bench seat looks like? TIA Luc
  18. Under the SSP program IIRC.
  19. Hmm...maybe cuz in another tread it said; no engine and rolling wheels. Which for a non factory convertible, makes sense, a one trick pony by default and nothing of which the tooling can be used to spawn several planned versions. Edit: just learned that there were indeed factory Eldo's ragtops in 84 and 85. But anyway think beyond the show the intetest for a model of this car would be slim. Hopefully the New York Toy Show brings us more news. Cheers.
  20. Thanks Christian, but think those were announced a few years prior, no? Like the Ford RS200, think even that one was delayed. Due to the 2 projects they were going to announce at Nürnberg. Slightly confused 😉
  21. That's one of the things I'm not fond of, yes it mimicks the original kit, yet when it was tooled, sliding parts in model kit tooling were not yet implemented, nostalgia only go so far. IMHO it makes the build, especially the painting more difficult, where the parts breakdown of a kit should help the builder in presenting a decent end result and then I'm not talking about warped parts. But who am I.
  22. Here a review by Frank Richter on Modellversium Photo courtesy of Frank Richter and Modellversium https://www.modellversium.de/kit/artikel.php?id=14243 As you can see the only difference is the decal sheet and the box. The instruction sheet will likely be the same except that, Revell in Germany doesn't include a partslist and also that the consumer service address will be Bunde instead of NJ. The difference in price is most likely due to the rerouting this version had to go through before ending in your neck of the woods, cuz China sends bagged shots to Poland where they are packaged in the typical Revell Euro boxes with Italian sourced decals and I asume the instruction sheet is local sourced too. Hope that clears up this issue. Cheers Luc
