I always wondered why they forgot to mold a mic for the CV interior electrics. They did everything else on the centre console that matches the pics i saw, but forgot the mics
-
yeah thats how i did mine for a CHP car. just slow and anoying. At least Lindberg with their Charger has them seperate so you can fit or not

Yeah i love the orig Gone in 60 seconds, watched it hundreds of times from the main chase. Love the orig (and remake is ok) Vanishing Point, again seen hundred of times. Didnt like Bullet at all, seemed to be same car, same bit of street but just from different anges Dont really understand this MOPAR thing, or why so much love for one make of car and hatred for another.

3D printing growing as we speak
English Jules replied to bbowser's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I scratch built a correct Push bar for a NYPD (and other) Charger for the Lindberg kit, as its totally different to the kit one. Would it be possible to get it looking good with a 3d printer? or would it have to be in resin. Also how easy is the software to use? I want to make some US traffic lights, road signs etc etc. -

Dont say where in the UK you are but next weekend at Telford is a big show, often get unusal stuff there, couple of really big sellers who do car kits etc. As others said shipping from the US is expensive now, and recently i got 5 Linberg Chargers sent over, shipping about the same cost of the kits, then the tax and handling fee....same with 6 Lindberg Crown Vics too. -
yeah. You can get printed card ones off US ebay, cut out and fold over. Look ok but a bit too flat.

Nice, i like the small turn of the front wheels. Good how you removed the front doors scuff strip, what was your way of doing and then getting it nice and smooth? Like the colour, white walls too. I would have thought though with the extra detail you added you would have added brackets etc to the light bar though

Yes, i have both those kits, and making them at the moment. Although doubt if mid 90s cars had them....but thats just a guess. Lindberg Charger has one but its rather large, a bit too large unless its meant to be a big heavy durable type. Was the old Revell Caprice with a really basic type?

English Jules replied to English Jules's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
In the UK its expensive enough to send off for plastic kits, die cast is just stupid shipping. -
I have a couple of Revell Expeditions, a cop one and blinged up with chome rims. I do know the cop kit wheels are not right for a cop but not sure what is out there to replace with. They are on here as MU pulling horses boxes All the other SUVs on here are much more modern, and i have no idea what have kits (i dont do die cast)...infact i dont know some of the names... anyone help? https://www.flickr.com/search?sort=relevance&text=nypd%20suv thanks

You cant see from those angles but the 2 low down rear bumper stickers on the car, i see often are peeling around the edges, dirt, scuffs and scrapes so i made the decals look more like 'stickers' with the edges a little not stuck down

Thanks for spotting out the error :-) Too late to redo on this model but will fix it on the decal sheet. I know i forgot to add the end of the blue stripe that meets the light cluster/end of rear wing, it should be right upto the edge and not stop leaving a gap. I cut the long decal into 4 pieces to make it easier to get in right position but forgot to put the ends back on. I can fix that later as still got lots of blue stripe. I tried putting the model infront of a image a monitor, but it doesnt look too good and photography im bad at . I still need to add that little black box on the rear boot lid, i guess its a aeriel.

Thanks. The cop figure i need to cut and redo as NYPD, and the other figure, change hair and add clothing so late in the year. Put some trash in the gutter, and added water effect for puddles along some of the gutter too. I will take better photos as i go along

I looked at a good few images, i couldnt see the orange segments unless the rear was lit up so didnt plan on detailing it further. I can always on it if i get some good images
-
thanks. Working on the base now. Work so far.

Few pics from tonight. Doing a simple sidewalk and street section. Still trying up and tweaks to do on the car. Added the push bar i made

Thanks guys. The sheet is one i worked on with another guy in the US, as we both bought one off US ebay and found nothing but stupid errors, inc the wrong spelling of words..I put those up a few months ago on here. We worked on doing our own sheet. Took a few month to iron out the slight errors, size, font etc. And finally happy with the sheet after around 2000 images looked at, making sure to avoid tv/movie cars lol. This was a early sheet, same decal sheet but fitting a Charger.....Those were taken off when we found the problems, and in a few days once complete this Impala, i will use the decals from the same sheet for the Charger that is still on our sheet from the Impala build and complete that. If your interested in a sheet, drop me a PM. Price we came up with was £12.99 and US postage would be £4. Also scratch building perfect push bar for the Charger, and new items inside. I think the link below this image should work to that full album.....im pretty new to Photobucket. http://s955.photobucket.com/user/mrcooljules/library/Lindberg%201-24th%20Charger%20Cop%20Car?sort=3&page=1

Still WIP. Scratch building push bar, will redo light bar brackets when i got good images. Couple of touch ups and tweaks.

Nice, owned a few old 70s Toyotas and all were fun to drive....must keep a eye out for this kit
-
Nice. Done a few of those CV kits, and still got some more. I added scratch built fitting lightbar brackets. Never thought of doing a what if like this, and i have a load of those decals from my Monaco kits

very nice. Wanted to get a couple of these kits for some time. Trouble is in UK i have to find images online, i cant see the real thing close up. Shame about the resin wheels. Sort of thing i would like to improve kits with
