  1. Bob, I would bet the farm on the following.....new, larger impressive decal sheet, the new slicks and tires in general, the mini box that I use to mix or blend brush paint on....lol......and if we are lucky, some killer tinted glass for the gasser version......just my 2 cents....the Ace...
  2. ......just now noticed this piece....a knockout if I ever saw one. innovative thinking on this project, with results that are simply dazzling.....best, the Ace....
  3. outstanding news, Bob, and thanks for the heads up. always liked that box art, and will build a basic one exactly painted as shown......Round2 all the way.......the Ace....
  4. .....thanks, Freddie, for your comments.....appreciate that...best, the Ace...
  5. .....just noticed your comment, Jim, and thanks.....the Ace.....
  6. ........pale blue interior, bench seat, chrome reversed wheels all round......I'd use the Slixx sheet,,,,better quality and more accurate.......keep one thing in mind , though,,,,just about all drag cars from the era that were run by a team for say, one season, or season and a half before being sold off for the next ride usually had decal changes, and sometimes lettering and paint variation thru their times of use also. many times on so many cars I have compared photo after photo from the same season regarding the same car, and have seen several wheel, decal, trim, and other changes,,,,,so, my point is to pick the photo you like the best, and build you kit to duplicate that car on that day.....hope this helps....the Ace...........oh, one other note....noticed in your photo of your kit parts and body that are ready, I would substitute the MH slicks you show for a set of the pie crust MH style, as the ones you show are a bit wider than what was used generally...just a thought........
  7. ......trick idea, Stephen.....not big on Nascar, but love the blue gasser......the Ace....
  8. thank you, Bruce, for such nice comments.....best, the Ace...
  9. Andy, is this red car a build of this new issue we speak of.....looks good, too....the Ace///
  10. thanks Dale, for that nice comment......it was a pain because I'm out of the groove right now, but hope to get back into the swing this fall......the Ace....
  11. ......thanks for posting, Bob.....so is the decal sheet is not so great in this issue,,,,.........the Ace...
  12. ....bang up Google and type in 75 vette chassis photos, or 75 vette exhaust system. I think they were single into a dual rear deal, but not sure....the Ace....
  13. boy, I like that....put that on my to buy list,,,,nice work, Gary.....the Ace...
  14. I have just recently got a mib annual AMT 69 MACH 1 KIT NUMBER Y 905 .....I have always liked this kit better that any other 69 Mustang, even though the chassis pan is poor. built 3 of these, one from xmas 1968, two more from about 20 years back, and will jump into this one at some point too.......the Ace....
  15. .....another note that I'm certain many on the forum have considered, but I'll throw in my 2 cents anyhow,,,,even though this new issue 75 Vette models a slower, smogged up less interesting car to some, even though I like this issue.....it makes a GREAT donor kit to complete a build if one has other earlier MPC Vettes from the 68-74 era. recently I have bought annual MPC 69 , 70, and a 73 convertible kit, all that had a couple missing parts or started pieces. well, one of these new 75's solved all that quickly, not to mention you still end up with killer decals, nice tires, and metal injector stacks.....I'm liking all this, makes ya' just want to river dance...lol...lol.....the Ace...
  16. Bob, would you shoot some pic's of this issue for us to see, especially tires, decals and such.....thanks, the Ace....
  17. Rick, would you mind posting photos of your kit for us to check out......many interested members are keen to see this new issue......thanks, the Ace.....
  18. Chuck, I feel the same way. I looked at this new MPC at my LHS just last week, but nothing about the parts layout on the underside of the box or even decal sheet, jumped out and said buy me....think i'll wait until these end up cheap in a year or so, then maybe...the Ace....
  19. Chuck, the one you are showing box art of is the actual AMT 73 kit, same in most ways to the newer TOPE trans am issue for the most part,,,, while the newest release mentioned is true MPC , I suppose being similar to their 73 annual. I don't yet have one, but recalling kits I have owned back and forth over the years, the MPC version would be my choice of the two. hope this clarifies....the Ace....
  20. cheers, Joe, appreciate your comments, and yes, I like tinted lights on drag cars too......the Ace....
  21. I have built this kit at least 10 times over the span of over 40 years,,,,and I still like it regardless . nice to see yours built similar to the box art other than for color choice....looks neat, bet it was a fun build......the Ace....
  22. John, once again your new build knocks us all out......outstanding is an understatement......perfect.....the Ace.....
  23. thanks for that, Nick....I am fairly pleased with the car.......best, the Ace....
  24. .........just got an original annual MPC 73 Corvette cv mib, and yet another annual MPC 70 Corvette ht complete and mint, but no box.....that's the one to build, and keep my other one mib......best of both worlds......the Ace....
  25. thank you Joe, for your comment here......best, the Ace....
