  1. Maybe its a case of keeping the freezers full so the cooling system didn't have to work so hard cooling empty space in the freezers.(?) Same thing with modern freezers... Just a guess.
  2. I've made a hobby of studying Titanic for awhile, and i'm pretty sure she had refrigeration holds for all the perishables. The openings for these holds are on either side of "C" deck almost even with the after mast. These holds went down 3 to 4 decks, and kept under lock and key.
  3. I had only ONE purchasing experience with a resin caster, and mentioning names will more than likely get the thread locked, but it was my LAST purchase of resin parts from a caster. The wait times, provided they send anything at all, are completely stupid. I'll spend the money on scratch building supplies and make what i need myself. Much more rewarding that way too. To be honest the main reason that i wanted to buy the resin parts in the first place was to save time.... kind of ironic, huh.
  4. Now THATS cool!! I like that Doc. The mods to the back half could actually work on a 1:1 '66 wagon. You have my undivided attention.
  5. I like that Doc!! Looks Kinda like an Australian ute on steroids.
  6. So true. My 1:1 Nova would bottom out and bend headers due to weak front springs. Chasing down flange leaks was a real PITA. Love the black one!! Landy's version is sweet too!!!
  7. A HUGE THANKYOU goes out to Vince Nelson, aka Vintagedragcrazy, for sending me a Super Stock Hemi engine. Just the mill I needed. Thanks again Vince!!
  8. Thanks for the great trade Ken!! A smooth, trouble free trade. As always!!
  9. Now that i have seen a side by side pic, yeah, i can see the nose length thing. Never noticed it till now. Well, out come's the razor saw once again..... *****Sigh**** Performing plastic surgery and a nose job.
  10. I am OFFICIALLY jealous !!!!! I have been wanting one of these kits since it was released. Nice score!!
  11. I can't even SEE parts that small, let alone paint them!!! That E-type engine is a work of ART Bill!!!
  12. Thanks for the great trade Vince!!(aka Vintagedragcrazy) The Parts will go to good use on my '67 Charger Super Stock. Pic's to come.
  13. A happy ending to this story should be "it ended in a hail of gunfire from law enforcement officers"...... Stealing the stuff is bad enough, but to have total disregard for other motorists on the freeway? I would be hard pressed to show these clowns ANY mercy if they are ever caught.
  14. Lookin Good Ken!! You have my attention.
  15. Missed out on the Testors 1/4 scale visible Hemi engine kit. Now you can't touch a decent one on the bay for less that $150 or so. I keep hoping they will re-issue it .
  16. One of my favorites too. .I've been listening to her "landslide" song allot. It brings back alot of memories.
  17. Looks like it will have that low down leadsled look. SWEET!!
  18. Your off to a great start. Love the lines of those old coupe's I'd leave it in primer, slap a set of Cragars on it, put a Thrush decal in the quarter window, and Ta-Da!!! Instant hot rod!!! At least for an old fart like me.
  19. Just got my Olds in the mail today. i see getting more of these kits depending on the follow on versions, most definitely!!
  20. I wonder how many versions we will see from this mold. Stock Cutlass, maybe?
  21. Sharp looking build D.W.!!! Can't wait to see it finished. That color is perfect.
  22. Thanks for the Pic's Rick!!
  23. True enough on all counts. Knives and chains, bricks, just about anything can and does get used as a weapon around here in fights. The most alarming one I saw was one guy had another one pinned under his 4 wheeler, and kept trying to ramp him. The guy under it prob went 3 bills and was pinned pretty tight. This happened right across the street from my house in a public school parking lot.
  24. Yep. I grew up in W.Va. I still live just across the river from it. They have very low tolerance for that kind of stuff. Plus most of the people locally are armed to the TEETH.
