  1. Speaking of old IMC variants, what about the Avenger GT-12? Did the tooling go to Japan with the VW kit?
  2. "So how did it go?"
  3. Time to use Stoopnagle, since no one else did - he and his partner Budd were a popular radio and movie comedy team in the 1930s.
  4. I'm not in the path, but southern IL is - maybe we'll get to see WGN-TV's Tom Skilling get all choked up again?
  5. Today, I heard the robin sing... today, the thrush is on the wing...
  6. '60 and '63 Ford pickups have arrived, plus I made a couple scores: at an estate sale, about 50 various Dremel accessory bits and grinders for $5, then at a local thrift store, a nice Dremel case to put them in for $10 - and when I popped the tray out, there was a near-new variable speed MotoTool inside.
  7. Got an email yesterday from James and Dory Zientara (Newsletter Editor and Vice President, The Lake Michigan Model Car Club) about modeler Kevin Pratscher: Another friend from the LMMCC, and a couple years younger than me to boot. He was a longtime friend of the late Tom Piagari, and the three of us used to go to the Milwaukee NNL meets together. R.I.P. Kevin.
  8. Gate man sees name; garage man sees name tag.
  9. Horton heard a Who, but it wasn't Cindy Lou.
  10. Speaking of "missing" cars, sort of, have you thought of tackling the Chrysler Ghia Norseman?
  11. Interesting... same seller has another dented-box special up for bids. Did a case of them get dropped when the ship was unloaded? https://www.ebay.com/itm/134938280491
  12. Model Roundup has shipped mine out from Atlanta. Looking forward to getting it at last!
  13. Finally starting to show up on eBay; hope Model Roundup is rounding them up to ship now. https://www.ebay.com/itm/134926329078
  14. Rich, there's a custom rear bumper in the AMT '66 Mercury kit; it has a finely ribbed pattern that should give you what you need. You'll need one for each quarter panel. Should be easy to find since the kit's been reissued so many times.
  15. Hmm. OK, scattergun approach... '63 Falcon convertible? Sprint hardtop for the first time ever? First generation Barracuda? Woodie versions of the '36/'40 Fords, or the '41 Plymouth? '60 El Camino? That one was always popular but did have a lot of room for improvement. Maybe tool a '60 body for the '59 kit? Stock '67 Cougar? And If AMT previously sold an AMX from the Jo-Han molds, would you have the right to clone it since it was sold as an AMT kit? Again, hmm... And has Round2 looked into getting back the molds for the '66 Chevy pickup promo?
  16. "Bomb Nicaragua with Decorator Pillows" read an old ad by Al Greenwood, the Bedspread King.
  17. Just found out yesterday that this is also Bill Hickman at work, this time subbing for George C. Scott: Two identical '66 Valiant convertibles were smashed up making this scene
  18. Survive! was the quickie 1976 Mexican movie about the (chomp chomp) Andes soccer team plane crash; some of the dubbing for the English-language version was done by Peter Fernandez, better known as the voice of Speed Racer.
