  1. Tank McNamara was one of my favorite comic strips.
  2. I don 't get down to Rancho Mirage much, but since I had to take my housemate to Eisenhower Med Center I hit Hobby Lobby and picked up the '36 Wild One (Chevy) Modified for 40% off. Might put a different body on it (Willys or '36 Ford 5-window?).
  3. And wheel covers from the AMT or MPC '69 Impala.
  4. That roofline/window opening... a bit off?
  5. Settlement - never mind, I want every little bit because as Brenda Holloway sang, "Every little bit hurts."
  6. Rodeo clowns throw cow pies.
  7. Tough to get good stills because the guy was panning the camera... Should be interesting to see if the Newport has mag wheels; the Metalflake issue had them. Wheels in the Valiant and Lancer were way undersized IIRC...
  8. "Wonky" is how Walter Brennan would pronounce the name of the guy who owns the famous candy factory.
  9. WELL now! Looks like those long-gone kits may be resurrected, at last! Nice to see a '62 Chrysler convertible with an unbroken windshield frame too. I'd take the Lancer first as I've never had one.
  10. ^^^ You and me both. I did get a set of original issue '62 Grand Prix grille/headlight units (they were custom parts in the first issue Bonneville hardtop) for my mild custom Catalina project, but these should have clear headlight lenses and fit better.

  12. Dead Heat on a Merry-Go-Round (1967) introduced us to Harrison Ford.
  13. If and only if they run it with the original issue '58 body - which supposedly exists - I'll take a couple!
  14. society debutante cotillion
  15. Paducah, KY: Formerly Rudy Lyles' Standard station.
  16. Depression-era gangster Lepke Buchalter had a movie made of his life (and execution) starring Tony Curtis.
