Going to have to call "Urban Legend" on that story, and I saw plenty of "doesn't goes" down in Mexico.

I don't recall "Walk on the Wild Side" getting any airplay on Chicago's WLS; thus when DJ John Landecker somehow got access to the music track without the vocals and redid it as "Make a Date with the Watergate" it was a new song to me!

A question for Mr. Goldman - Re Round 2
ChrisBcritter replied to iwantmodels's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Just to be clear, I don't think a stock-ish (the later ones had no true stock option) '66-'69 Falcon would be that big a seller. But it the drag front end setup and Webers were brought back to the chrome tree it would add some value for not too much effort. That original kit had one surprising detail - look at the instrument cluster with a magnifying glass and you can read the odometer! (it shows 000000) Frankly, to me anyway, the only potential retool/clone Falcon that would be successful would be the '63 Futura - IF it were a hardtop Sprint for the first time. -

Steve, is there anything that can be opened up on the Falcon molds from the original kit? -
Added this week to the ol' leopard skin: '64 Chevelle (VERY impressed with it!), '73 Eldorado and '65 Rambler wagon promos: Will need a hood ornament for the Eldo from Okey...

I remember Michael Lamm wrote an article for Motor Trend in the mid-to-late '60s titled "Dusey in that Barn?" about a lot of his old car finds out in the country; not sure if the actual phrase "barn finds" was stated.

Responding to a call, Officer Pete Malloy crashed his cruiser off an embankment in Griffith Park; it took the whole rest of the episode for him to be found by his partner, Officer Jim Reed.
