  1. "So" - a needle pulling thread...
  2. For $800, I'd be sorely tempted to get a 1/32 P-51 and modify it myself.
  3. Couldn't find them on slowlys but did find them in 1/24 in Nahuel Customs: Unfortunately this is just a file and I don't own a 3D printer. And is it possible to double the size of this file, scaling it up to 1/12?
  4. I recently picked up a 1/12 scale Monogram '57 Chevy kit at an estate sale; I don't usually build anything that big but for $10 I couldn't say no. I'd like to make it a mild custom with the usual tricks; like a set of '57/58 Dodge Royal Lancer wheelcovers. Are any 3D folks making these?
  5. Woah. Big surprise here! Hope we can get stock height front suspension and the side window opening corrected (two issues the '65 has). Looking forward to doing the A/B comparison to the AMT Craftsman.
  6. My favorite role she played was as Bubba Higgins' teacher on the Carol Burnett Show:
  7. '72 Mercedes-Benz 280SE 4.5 '65-on Rolls Royce Silver Shadow/Bentley T-Series Ford Consul Capri Vauxhall PA Cresta
  8. And here's a '33 Buick I found years ago on the H.A.M.B.:
  9. Coincidentally, fellow LMMC Model Car Club member Glenn Bliznick recently posted this fine '28 Lincoln tow truck he built on the club's FB page: Now I want to scrounge up a Jo-Han '31 Caddy and do something like it.
  10. Incredible Shrinking Headshrinker
  11. Children of the Corn is tonight's Late Movie, brought to you by Green Giant.
  12. Den was one of the characters in Heavy Metal and was voiced by John Candy.
  13. I got a message this morning from W Humble saying that he'd fallen and broken his ankle, and asking for a small favor - but nothing else. Anyone know more? Scam?
  14. Does Round2 still have the molds for the ramps?
  15. Spotted last week in Laguna Hills, CA:
  16. Swapped in the chassis, front bumper/grille, interior and glass from the promo and gave it what Scott at Cold War Motors would call a "Level 1 Tidy". Luckily the interior isn't nearly as shrunken/warped as the promo body was: Those wheelcovers will need some trimming to fit into the tires properly.
  17. Ignore that AI image - I did a search on Newspapers.com and found a bunch of real photos. Here are the best ones: OK, you diorama builders - GO!
  18. Maybe next month.
  19. And maybe do the same thing with the 1/20 MPC AMX? Right off the bat it would have a detailed chassis with steerable front wheels, which is more than can be said for the Jo-Han kit.
  20. So, to do the Coronet as a base grocery getter, has anyone put a Lindberg slant six in one of the previous Moebius Mopars and how's the fit?
  21. Thank you. I was going to scrounge a set of old MPC steelies for my '65 Belvedere movie cop car; they're deep enough that the hubcaps won't stick out. AMT had been guilty of this too - their '50 Chevy pickup and '37 Chevy coupe especially.
