Swapped in the chassis, front bumper/grille, interior and glass from the promo and gave it what Scott at Cold War Motors would call a "Level 1 Tidy". Luckily the interior isn't nearly as shrunken/warped as the promo body was: Those wheelcovers will need some trimming to fit into the tires properly.

39 Chevy Raft

Ignore that AI image - I did a search on Newspapers.com and found a bunch of real photos. Here are the best ones: OK, you diorama builders - GO! -

And maybe do the same thing with the 1/20 MPC AMX? Right off the bat it would have a detailed chassis with steerable front wheels, which is more than can be said for the Jo-Han kit.

Sure I would! Straight to the nearest demolition derby. Free maintenance, right? "OK, you guys - fix it!"

Another PMC '59 Ranchero, cheap-ish because... I'd like to transplant the good stuff from it to the red styrene one I got a while back:

Good stuff, Chuck! I put the chassis under AMT '57 Chevy, '56 Ford and '65 Nova bodies - they're very adaptable.

First time I've seen that box. The artist goofed when he left out the B-pillar; we didn't get a real Corvair hardtop until '65.

What Did You See In Your Yard Today?
ChrisBcritter replied to Tim W. SoCal's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
We get a lot of roadrunners around here, a fair number of cute hummingbirds, and our share of mice. Then a couple weeks ago this happened in the garage: I picked up the bottle of rodent repellent to spray under the hood of my boss's Bronco. After shaking the bottle, I put it up on the header panel and started spraying - and ONLY then I spotted it: GDM thing had gotten itself caught on the label. ? No idea how I didn't get bitten other than somebody up there likes me (or just watches over fools). I'll skip the rest of the details other that to say it is now an ex-serpent. -
"Together Forever" by Rick Astley was one of my favorite club dance numbers.
