Arriving today: Wreckage and parts of a '62 Falcon; gives me just enough added to the parts I have to do a '62 Ranchero conversion. Also a big surprise score at an antique mall in Rancho Mirage: An absolutely cherry '71 Maverick promo that was tagged at about half what nice ones go for on eBay: Never thought I'd find a deal on one. A good day!

AMT 1960 3-in-1 Ford F-100 Pickup Truck

The wheels seem to have the same flat center bolt area as the originals, but better molded outer rims with vents. The originals without slots or hubcap bumps look almost exactly like the factory wheels found on the Continental Mk II, of all things. And usually at least one in each kit had a sink mark in the center. -
Bought earlier this month but didn't want to jinx it until it was in my hands: 1/24 Italeri (Revell version) Ferrari 275 GTB 4. Been wanting one for a long time and this one popped up in Germany for only €20; no box and no tracking/insurance on the shipping. Crossed my fingers and it got here OK, and the seller even threw in two little packets of Gummi Bears! It'll be built as perpetual '60s/'70s TV bad guy Peter Haskell's car from the ABC movie Love Hate Love: Figure I'll do it all banged up from the last chase scene. Already made the fake NY plates, ready to print:

South Carolina is where my friend and his spouse fled SoCal for, and they just bought a vintage house in Allendale conveniently located next to the police station.

And the auto-translated subtitles on the video say basically the same thing.

With "herself", I'd say "Herself, she couldn't pick out a dress, but she knew what dresses her bridesmaids should wear."

Legendary Ladies of Rock 'n' Roll - Cerritos, CA 1983. Martha Reeves, Darlene Love, and Ronnie Spector, hosted by Mary Wilson of the Supremes. Smokey Robinson in the audience. I won second row seats on KRLA and managed to shake hands with Darlene! March/April 2006: The great blues singer Linda Hopkins at the Catalina Bar and Grill in Hollywood. My boss was a longtime friend of hers and produced the recording of the shows which became her final album, The Living Legend Live!. -
