  1. Yes - always run away after you light the firecracker.
  2. Got something cool this afternoon - original Styline front and rear ends for the AMT '57 Ford. Thanks Larry! Hmm. Wonder how they'd look on a Ranchero?
  3. First thing I look for? Clear photos (on eBay). Seriously, what's with the 500p size you can't enlarge? Lacquer check on a body is pretty much a dealbreaker for me; it's tough to level that off without losing emblems and trim - got a '62 Fairlane that awaits a better body if I can get one cheap(ish). Other things I look for: Continental kits that leave glue damage on rear bumpers, fender skirts that leave glue damage on quarter panel trim and wheel openings, seat belts that leave glue damage on upholstery, and louvers that leave glue damage everywhere .
  4. Aww, I thought from the title you were going to be working your magic on an AMT '67 Galaxie, especially since you have cats . What type of radio is shown in the Brazilian Ford? Looks like AM/FM/shortwave?
  5. That's the problem with hiring child labor.
  6. "He just hit a d@mn pole!"
  7. OK, got 'em. The lighter-colored one is a '64 Fairlane friction (see the black friction motor underneath): The other one is the Processed Plastics knockoff of the Jo-Han '61 Olds F-85 wagon (note the trailer hitch): Season 4, Episode 19, "Hot Rod Otis"'; original air date February 17, 1964.
  8. This has been pretty much stalled since 1981 - when I started, it was a current style street machine. Now it's a nostalgia piece:
  9. Here's the Olds tree, such as it is:
  10. (long, low whistle) Maaaaagnificent!
  11. I did a quickie Photoshop on a photo of a gluebomb Meat Wagon Packard (which is a '42, not a '37) to see how an unchopped roof would look: I think with some serious work this could become a master for a resin Army/Navy ambulance if anyone wanted to tackle it. You'd need a second set of the stock front wheels to replace the oversized rear ones (not in this photo).
  12. Several of us from the LMMCC went to his memorial along with about a hundred of his other friends and family; it was a nice service. With Jonny's mother's permission his oldest friend set up a table with a lot of small diecast cars from his collection and encouraged anyone there to take one (I chose a teal metallic Matchbox '64 Continental). There were quite a few cars left over, so our club offered to bring them to our meeting that night and sell off the rest as a fund-raiser. We made $176.00 from the sale which went to Jonny's mother. From the memorial's GoFundMe page:
  13. Somebody built a 1/1 tribute to the '58 Vette from the movie: https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/hot-rods-to-hell-corvette-build-finale.951107/
  14. VERY cool! What kit supplied the wheels/tires?
  15. You have some of the front and rear custom pieces from the MPC '67 Pontiac:
  16. Got a full set of '61 Plymouth wheelcovers to cast, plus the trunk lid and taillights - Huge thanks to Tom Piagari!
  17. Similar, but not the same - the '66 Vette wheels have the center detail raised; the '66 Ford wheel backs are detailed but nearly flat. Mine match the Vette wheels.
  18. Nice job except for the SS emblem on the trunk. Did F&F do a '65-'69 Corvair convertible? This same seller had three builtups last week.
