Re the Nova wagon: from the "What's a hanger shot?" thread at Round2: And a new question, re the ’63 Nova wagon – are any of its other molds (interior, chassis, engine) still existing? If so it seems that the body could be saved in the same way the ’65 GTO was by restoring the rear wheel wells and re-engraving the door lines and trim. So, I can’t really comment one way or another. With the tooling changing hands several times over the decades, not a lot of info has survived to be passed on. The metallic green-painted Craftsman T-bird - with molded-in skirts - in my comparison photo is light blue plastic under the paint.

Note the Mannlicher rifle in the '63 Imperial - isn't that what Lee Harvey Oswald used?

Yep. This one's right on the edge of savable: I've gotten it this far; it'll take a lot of careful sanding to keep from losing the emblems and trim. (By the way, did AMT get a bad run of chrome when they made the '62 Fairlane? Almost every one I've seen has very weak chrome.)

There were two '66 T-birds; one full detail with custom options and one Craftsman. The Craftsman was from the promo tool and is the only accurate coupe version; the full kit is a convertible with a separate hardtop roof and uses the convertible interior.

And if you're hunting parts for a 1/1 car, search (for example) "1978 Buick" -fits -cover; that cuts it WAY down.

An obsidian jewel. Did you have a decal for the speedometer, or was it drybrushed?

Got back from the DuPage show a while ago; sold off a batch of model airplanes and picked up a complete Lindberg '64 Plymouth chassis, three sets of tires (including a set from the IMC Little Red Wagon/Mustang), Monogram '59 Caddy wheelcovers for my '60 Fleetwood, and this nice Crown Premiums '37 Studebaker pickup in State Farm markings (a dealer had several that had small flaws in the silver paint on the hood, so they were only $10 a pop!). The '37 Stude dealer album came from my dad; he got it about forty years ago when his company was getting rid of old stuff.

Update: I worked a deal with Nova-ss for him to get the original issue '62 with the raised top; I wanted to take some close-up photos of the interior in case anyone wants to try to correct the interior in a USA Oldies reissue. Here you go: To be precise, the seat backs have 9 vertical pleats in each panel (tapering at the top to more like 7); the rear seat bottom has 23 pleats and the front seat base has 11 on either side of the folded-down armrest. Also note the ashtray in the back of the driver's seat. (The steering wheel is installed upside down and may be correct for a Dodge, but not a Plymouth, at least per the dealer brochure - an error by Jo-Han?) Some reissues of the '62 Plymouth have a '63 Plymouth dash; you can see here what needs to be corrected. Just wish I had the time and talent to do a resin repop of this interior... Hope this helps!

Hmm. I have one from the AMT '62 Ford pickup, but it's single axle and I'm saving that to build a Kenskill travel trailer. Maybe if I started with the double wheel setup from the Fireball 500 trailer, and a lot of Evergreen square tube... Anyone know the overall length of these two boats?

No, the Styline parts on this kit (like those on the '50 Ford) still allowed a working hood.

I'd be hugely impressed if the Styline parts came back too.

I've got one as well; picked it up for a buck or two at a flea market years ago: If I had to guess at the scale, I'd say maybe 1/12? Wheelbase is 4 5/8"; rims are 3/4" diameter. And I don't think mine ever had an electric motor.

Is this a resin conversion kit to make a '58 New Yorker out of the '57 300? More info please!

Good job! In the early eighties my boss had one that was triple gray; very pretty car. I've got one of these that needs the chrome redone (it's clear plastic underneath ) and a taillight (luckily they interchange side to side so I can cast a copy).
