Round 2 Product News at the 2023 NNL Motor City
ChrisBcritter replied to tim boyd's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Great stuff! Nice detail shots of the '63 pickup especially. On the '57 300, what's been "modified"? New decals? I love the bullet-centered Cadillac Sabre wheels it has; I'm saving a couple sets of those for kustoms, or maybe if I get a reissued '58 Jo-Han Fleetwood. -

And then my Uncle Mike says when people thank him for his service, "Thanks for the free three-year vacation in Germany!"

Ours, Yours and Mine - no, wait - Yours, Mine and Ours was a 1968 film starring Henry Fonda, Lucille Ball and Tim Matheson, who was the voice of Johnny Quest.

The original '58 body is supposed to still exist; with the new Chevelle chassis available, it should be no big deal to bring it back (and a reissued body would go a long way toward restoring original kits, not to mention fixing some inaccuracies on the current Edsel!)

What would YOU like to see as a model

Bob, if you do see them, please ask for an update on the old Revell '62 Mopars and the 1/32 '56 Buick? -

AMT 1960 3-in-1 Ford F-100 Pickup Truck
ChrisBcritter replied to rekcirb13's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
I don't recall the AMT '56 Ford Crown Vic having a crossover; was its dual exhaust setup incorrect? Sounds like the ram's horn manifolds as well as the crossover setup might be a good aftermarket possibility for the 3D folks or resin casters. -

Those that were only made once

AMT XR-6 was a one-and-done, right? Same with the '66 Craftsman T-bird - I think that's the only case where the tool is known to still exist? Of course the 1911 Chevy touring was probably the best-known one-off. -

Sorry to hear actor Richard Roundtree, star of the Shaft trilogy, passed away at 81 after a fight with pancreatic cancer. In his honor, here's the car/boat/helicopter chase from Shaft's Big Score!: https://youtu.be/u0sUO_unxPs?si=f_TPLXN7yKtT6BL-&t=5183 Here and in Earthquake as daredevil Miles Quade, nobody rocked black leather like Roundtree!

Thanks for the input! I've seen a toy hauler that had been converted into a sheriff's office that might have worked - secure doors and windows, lots of built-in drawers and workbench, no built-in furniture to be removed - but it had some body damage and floor rot in the bathroom, so I passed. The upcoming Gene Winfield auction has a trailer I like, but there's a LOT of drama going on with the estate right now (and that's putting it mildly) so I'll keep other sources in mind as well.
