How would you repair this?
ChrisBcritter replied to redscampi's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
A problem you may have here is that this is a Cycolac promo body rather than styrene, so regular glue may not hold - try using one of the stronger solvent glues (Tenax?). If you do have access to a Ranchero body, you could use it to copy the missing area with two-part mold putty and resin. -

AMT 1960 3-in-1 Ford F-100 Pickup Truck
ChrisBcritter replied to rekcirb13's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
I was looking at the '57 (closest available) Ford truck brochure at the Old Car Manual Project, and the wheelbases were listed as 110" and 118" with either 6 1/2' or 8' beds, respectively. Looks like you would have to shorten the wheelbase and front of the bed 8mm, and the rear of the bed 10 mm, to get a correct 6 1/2' shortbed. -

'51 Fleetline windshield issue
ChrisBcritter replied to customline's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Looking at the rear window of the Bel Air hardtop, I've been wanting to cut the glass down to drop the three pieces in from the outside. Then there's the top part of the grille that's missing the horizontal flare, and the flat hubcaps that would be better suited to an '80s S-10 pickup...
