  1. Rain rain rain today here in Yucca Valley along with tons of wind. Staying at my boss's house taking care of his uncle and dog (while my boss and his partner enjoy Pebble Beach) and we lost a tree around 6pm: I usually park my car right where that d@mned thing fell, but for once I parked it by the garage. Power is out for several blocks around here but this house is somehow still lit. Roof leaks like a sieve and I have around 15 buckets, bowls, and pots catching water. Supposed to be sunny around here tomorrow, fingers crossed. Thanks for your concern!

  4. Box lunches are called bento in Japanese.
  5. Anyone have an unbuilt MPC '27 Lincoln roadster? I could use some photos of the bare body shell; side and top views especially. One of my future projects is Harrison Miler's roadster: From the August '74 issue of Rod Action, this photo is from the great story Harrison Miler wrote about his scrounged-together roadster which combined a '26 Jordan body, a '35 Ford truck grille, a stepped '28 Model A frame, '36 Chevy steering column/wheel and a '39 Merc flathead. It looks like the Lincoln roadster body may be close enough to modify to the Jordan's size and shape, If I shortened/pie-cut the body behind the doors and filled in the rear wheel wells. Photos of the Lincoln body would be a big help - thanks all!

  11. I used to go through old human interest stories in TIME magazine at the high school library back in my teens; this one stuck with me so I looked it up, bought the magazine on eBay, scanned the story, and passed the savings on to you: With an unusually modern follow-up: This would have made a good scene for the movie Used Cars... Lesson learned: Always read the fine print! To do the numbers, 18 payments of $57.10/month for 18 months would have added up to $1027.80. 30 months would have totaled $1713.
  12. Just playin' witcha, Snake!

  18. And on the T-bird, did any other Styline parts show up besides the roof?
  19. Maybe a kit with a chrome piece that's in a one-year-newer Modified Stocker? Would be cool if the backup light lenses were molded separately this time; it took a bit of work to cast them in clear resin.
