What was the dead project the Studebaker came from? Was Revell doing a stock one, or some Bonneville record car?

Speaking of Panhards: These two cars showed up at the L.A. County Administrator estate auction about ten years ago... (sorry - poorly lit warehouse) A fiberglass-bodied Panhard Dyna-based sports car and the Panhard-powered Deutsch-et-Bonnet that won its class at LeMans in the late '50s. I have a lot more photos if you'd like to see them; if so should I put them here or under the 1/1 section?

The '34 3-window has one saving grace: Better wheels for AMT '32 Fords. Otherwise I'm leaning towards customizing the body and channeling it over the '32 "Show and Go" chassis (with a frame stretch).

I picked up one of the reissue '56 Chryslers; really all it needs to be stock is the correct grille insert (the custom part has a '51 Meteor grille bar). Wish someone would cast up the original.

Really hate to pull the plug on this one; thought for sure somebody would get them, but it's been six days... The Deadly Tower is very good, as well, and fairly accurate, but it's loaded with 1970s cars when it's supposed to be set in 1966.)

Most recent non-car I've picked up was the new Revell 1/48 Stearman; I'll be doing it in NAS Glenview markings since I have a bunch of wartime photos of wrecked Glenview birds to go from. Lots of little variations in the markings, but pretty simple nonetheless. (photo courtesy modelingmadness.com)

And re the language: It's pretty annoying the way it's used currently but I do love hearing outtakes that turn blue - try listening to "Think Twice" by Jackie Wilson and LaVern Baker, then listen to the outtake "Think Twice - Version X" (which I really couldn't find two lines I could use here!) without laughing even harder than Jackie and LaVern are...

It depends on whose flat black it was, too - the '61 Falcon chassis and interior I just stripped came out very clean; the same parts on a '62 Continental were very defiant (the Testors stripper finally got the bulk of it). Both were painted flat black in the 1960s.

Forgot to ask - which taillights will it have, '39 Ford or '49 Pontiac? Red lenses I hope?

I think we're being distracted from the most important part: Why don't I ever stumble onto something like that? So Carmak: Besides this kit, what else did you find and what kind of prices were the kits going for?

Another thought - bet you can make a couple nice variations of the AMT '29 woody/roadster pickup kit with this one!

Just after I post about it on the Tim Boyd thread! Maybe I should go buy a Lotto ticket... As to the length, I'm sure someone here will A/B it with the AMT '29 soon enough - should be interesting...
