  1. "Let's get it on It's time to get down..."
  2. Scott McKenzie - "San Francisco"
  3. Spandau Ballet - "True" ("ha-ha-ha-ha-ha" - speed it up and you have the Woody Woodpecker song...)
  4. It depends on whose flat black it was, too - the '61 Falcon chassis and interior I just stripped came out very clean; the same parts on a '62 Continental were very defiant (the Testors stripper finally got the bulk of it). Both were painted flat black in the 1960s.
  5. Forgot to ask - which taillights will it have, '39 Ford or '49 Pontiac? Red lenses I hope?
  6. I think we're being distracted from the most important part: Why don't I ever stumble onto something like that? So Carmak: Besides this kit, what else did you find and what kind of prices were the kits going for?
  7. Another thought - bet you can make a couple nice variations of the AMT '29 woody/roadster pickup kit with this one!
  8. Just after I post about it on the Tim Boyd thread! Maybe I should go buy a Lotto ticket... As to the length, I'm sure someone here will A/B it with the AMT '29 soon enough - should be interesting...
  9. The Hangover and Rat Race.
  10. Hi Tommy, Here's a damaged body on eBay with a low opening bid - looks like the hood's OK. http://www.ebay.com/itm/AMT-1-25-64-MERCURY-COMET-CALIENTE-BODY-DAMAGE-USED-CIRCA-1964-/391051462349?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5b0c7bc6cd
  11. ...aaaannnnd $old! $275 on the Ford and $148.50 on the Messerschmitt.
  12. Might be fun to watch. From a distance. Once.
  13. More hints: The docudrama (red Mustang) was made for TV; one of its actors was in two James Bond movies. The drama (white Mustang) co-starred its own director plus a very famous actor who was almost at the end of his career (he died less than six months after the film's release).
  14. Megaforce, starring Barry Bostwick and his hairdo. Deservedly lost a ton of money.
  15. Little Miss Sunshine
  16. Looks like I stumped the band again? "A Love Like Yours (Don't Come Knockin' Every Day)" - Martha and the Vandellas/Dusty Springfield/Ike and Tina Turner/... and Florence Henderson . Mrs. Brady's version uses a nearly note-for-note copy of Ike and Tina's Phil Spector wall-of-sound-with-a-choir production. Better than you might think. "That's How I Got to Memphis" - Tom T. Hall/Bobby Bare/Scott Walker/Lee Hazelwood/...and Bill Haley and the Comets (I like that one best).
  17. Kentucky Rain - Elvis Presley (my favorite later Elvis song)
  18. And be sure to spell "Quick-Change" correctly, unless the original was wrong too...
  19. Snagged the now-discontinued X-Acto pushbutton knife and a supply of blades; looks like it will come in very handy. Also a '59 Edsel chassis to put under one of my '58 Fords.
  20. Nice job of weathering and the wire wheels look almost like the real thing, but you forgot the plug wires! Seriously, though, I'd like to see a '29-on-'32 as well - but with the option for a Z-ed frame to lower it.
  21. Beat me to it! (Just a correct '46 grille will do it for me.)
  22. Are the front tires the same ones that were in the '59 Skyliner kit? Should be a lot of those around.
  23. The Aston was replaced by a dressed-up (hopefully junk) Lancia, and the '61 red E-type convertible has been fully restored. The other Jag ('62 coupe) may be a survivor too according to Britain's DVLA tax records.
  24. "I know if you'd seen her You'd tell me cause you are my friend I've got to find her And find out the trouble she's in If you tell me she isn't here I'll follow the trail of her tears..." Hint: A lot of singers covered this one too, including one legendary rock 'n' roller...
  25. "I broke your heart, and I made you blue Instead of hurting back, you said 'I love you'"... Hint: Recorded by four very different singers in the '60s, including one you wouldn't expect...
