  1. @Scott Eriksen I have a resin one from Keystone before he closed down, there's a local fella casting them nearby if your interested in that route
  2. Clean work! Moving the firewall back would definitely add a few gray hairs to my growing collection Keep up the killer work. Too bad someone couldn't cast this after
  3. Nice work so far on Big Iron! Those air brake chambers look fantastic
  4. Very nice! I wondered the same about accessing the internal parts. There was a large fire apparatus builder Salsbury close by till they moved. E-one took over the plant for awhile, but since moved
  5. Now the hard part for me, bashing engines into spaces not meant to fit. I'm using the Cat 3406 from the W900 snapper, just cause I had one laying around. The wheel of death made it fit I masked off the hood grill surround, and grill and sprayed them with Alclad chrome over gloss black. The headlight bezels are kit parts
  6. Nice factory fresh Mack ! Excellent kitbash
  7. Even though it looks like a never ending problem with the hood profile, you've shown on numerous occasions the ability to correct it to your liking! If ya cut corners now, it would always annoy ya . Keep at it in small doses, we'll all be here w support ..or sarcastic remarks..mostly support lol
  8. Unbelievable details Someone w much better eye sight than me lol
  9. @Mopar - D can't wait to see whats next on your bench! Yeah I got a few fire trucks planned, just need to find space for the other builds
  10. Nice work Lee The interior definitely looks like a typical work truck ready for another trip
  11. Following along ! Other than Mopar-D, I haven't seen many of these built.
  12. Fantastic work! Really like the tip about using tape for the hard suction lines
  13. Thanks Dan! Glad to see ya lurking in the rigs again Masked up the rear chevron today, quickish work w 1/4 " tamiya tape. Noticed a wonky thin space above doors, photos showed a panel across there. A quick browse of the evergreen stock I hoard, found a suitable piece. Fired up the Gaahleri swallowtail and painted the stripes w safety lime. Now to clear the back, then paint all the Alclad aluminum parts. If I clear everything later, I could (will) lose the polished sheen. Thanks for following along 😀
  14. Pity all your work will be covered up in paint, so well done
  15. That boom looks so realistic w the hoses and fittings. Cool part seeing the paint peeking thru on the booms cylinder Decals look great too
  16. Appreciate the offer but I was able to secure one from a local who always swaps wheels w am. Thanks anyway
  17. Looking good so far ! Like those pvc tanks, so much cleaner than fighting w seams The printed dash is really well done, didn't realize they offered one
  18. Thanks Dom! Getting stripes inside the tunnel would be nearly impossible and looking right. Keeping them just outside will work better around bezels too i figure
  19. Heck yeah feed those squirrels !!!!
  20. Here's the next area getting attention...thinking green chevron stripes where lights are engraved w white doors...hmm kinda like this photo I pulled from web for ideas. The inside walls will be more polished diamond plate The steps and bumpers will be Alclad Any feedback or suggestions welcome
  21. Plastruct HO scale plate sheets Thanks ! Thank you
  22. Been a productive morning Alclad airframe aluminum was used for all the trim, sealed w aqua gloss. The hood is missing the grill surround, I'm planning on masking it off then painting it chrome along w the bumper and grill. I guess the engine will be a KW snapper 3406.
  23. Nice progress on the KW the eye candy is adding up Would a set of mobius wheels look better ?
  24. As they say progress isn't always forward in Model Land ! Looks like your moving along again nice save
