My hood from Plaskit arrived today, beautifully cast as norm. I'll need to score the panel line for the grill surround before painting. Now to get back to working on this before the squirrels find something else -

Those brake parts will definitely be an improvement over the kit pieces. I'm in the same raft waiting for parts to arrive to really push the build to paint. Looking forward to your progress -

@Scott Eriksen thanks for the engine ideas, plenty of options to pick from. I assembled the rolling chassis today to figure out if a stretch was required. Turns out a smallish 5/8 stretch worked out! I found a clean area between crossmembers, and hacked away. I still need to rebuild the flanges. The front is unfinished to allow the hood conversion changes, but Daniel said its all forward of the stock springs. The underside of the rescue body required a notch removed to allow the body to slip over. I plan to add some angled plates to tie everything together. Test fitting..we love mock ups Our dog started barking like crazy about this time, letting us know another package arrived...hmm turns out it was my scale finishes order! Jeff -

Awesome looking build, has a certain " flow" to it. Everything just works together, not cobbled parts Never thought Pete headlights would work on an Autocar, but you've shown it perfectly
