  1. Exactly. Gas, diesel, electric, steam, it's all good.
  2. I can believe it. The thing about digital art is that sometimes what you see on the screen isn't always what you get on the printed page.
  3. So using fuel injection means you're not a true gear-head? Gotcha. But we all know what posers Tommy Ivo and Stu Hillborn were, right? I'm just going to toss out the idea that maybe, real racers are more interested winning races than in what kind of noise they make.
  4. I know I wouldn't be overly upset if they made such a thing.
  5. Depends on the shade of pink, of course. A coral pink, like the old Testors pink, looks really good on it.
  6. And if it based on the old Monogram kit like it appears, it builds up nice. I don't remember the chrome surround on the spare on the old kit, though.
  7. I recognized it because Jalopnik had an article on it not too long ago.
  8. I'd be all for a reissue of a '67 Toronado.
  9. So do I, and I think the expense of old rare kits will put a limit on that sort of thing. Of course, there are people who live for the shock value of destroying nice things.
  10. Not yet. I still have to add a few greeblies, and I haven't decided on a colour scheme.
  11. I got this as part of a package of Japanese spaceship kits. It's from the series Captain Harlock, but the more I looked at it, the more I saw other possibilities. So I decided to add some styrene sheet fins, and some rocket tubes to turn it into a vintage pulp style space cruiser.
  12. From the Custom Car Chronicle. If you're looking to do something a little different with Revell's new E-type kit. https://www.customcarchronicle.com/cc-builders/larry-watson-c-painter/jaguars-at-the-watson-shop/
  13. So be careful what you wish for when you start griping about originality.
  14. I know. Imagine if Chevy tried to rip off the Mustang? Oh wait... It's a little later late in the game to be worried about originality from the big carmakers. Besides, you know if they came up with something original, people would be moaning about how weird it is.
  15. I've gotten good results with Future, but you do have to let it sit for a while. There will be shrinkage, so you will need multiple coats.
  16. Just a couple this time: A decent kit of an Auburn speedster. Full sized replicas have been produced multiple times, and they can be counted on to appear whenever Hollywood needs to set something in the 1930s, so there has to be a demand for a model. Any Figoni & Falaschi custom bodied classic. Everyone knows the look, even if they don't know the name. Classic car guys love them, hot rodders love them. Heller already has a stock Delage, Delahaye and TalbotLago, so moulds already exist for the chassis.
  17. Round 2 has already been pretty good at bringing back car kits I wanted ('32 Imperial, '58 Edsel, '57 Chrysler 300C) as well as a couple of grail kits that weren't cars (Pilgrim Observer, and the Lief Ericson), so of the ones that are left: AstroVette concept car 1907 Thomas Flyer MPC Stutz Bearcat MPC Airfix MercedesBenz 280 SL Any of the Pyro Vintage Brass kits, but since I have to pick just five, let's go with the 1909 Lozier Briarcliffe.
  18. Really more interested in the engines than the dragster frames at this point.
  19. I was pleasantly surprised by Round 2 bringing back the 1932 Imperial convertible coupe, so how about the Stutz and the Thomas Flyer? Heck do the Bearcats TV version for the people who are into that sort of thing.
  20. Car books, and lately, car websites. The Jalopy Journal and The Custom Car Chronicle are where I get most of my ideas for hot rod builds. Sometimes it's just, "I have all these leftover parts from these other builds. What am I going to do with them?"
  21. An early tempest with a decent chassis would be great, because the underpinnings are what make it interesting.
  22. Chartreuse is a classic muscle car colour.
