Good question and I'd be interested to see the responses. Years ago I bought some decal paper, I'll have to dig it out and see what brand, and used it once for the plaid seat inserts for the ZZ Top Ford. The challenge I had is that at home I have inkjet printers. You have to spray the paper with flat or semi gloss clear, let dry, print the decal, let dry, then spray again with mist coats of clear. That stops the ink from running when you dip the paper in water to release the decal. That's quite a bit of work for someone like me with a short attention span. Another problem I ran into with the inkjet is that printing small decals resulted in more dots than a clear image. I believe with a laser printer these are not an issue.

That's putting it lightly. I would say it's false advertising. This is particularly true for the re-release of the Cadillac Escalade where the box art depicts the Escalade ESV.

Are there any differences in these kits?

As Dpate said, a piece of glass is best if using a blade to cut the piece. I put the photo etch on the sticky side of a piece of tape so the cut piece doesn't go flying, never to be seen again.

From what I understand, that's why everyone is driving pickups and SUVs. Apparently the profit margin is greater on those types of vehicles than on cars so they just stopped making regular cars and convinced us that we all want and need SUVs and trucks.

I can't find anywhere that has Model Master in stock. Scalefinishes seems to have the right color.

Thanks Steve. I figured GM engines of the era would be similar but apparently not I found an engine from the Revell '70 Firebird on ebay so hopefully that will be a good starting point.

Dave, I thought about that. I would still need to source the valve covers and oil pan. I have an engine from a '69 Olds 442. I'll take a look at it and see if it can pass. I'd still need a Pontiac air cleaner though.

Hey Patrick. There were no extra parts with this one. Fortunately it's more of a glue firecracker than a glue bomb. I was able to separate a few parts, including the hood, with a mini screwdriver. No paint so no striping needed.

Thanks Larry. I sent an email to Fireball to order a set of the 14" and 15" Rallys. I'm watching a couple of '68 Firebirds on ebay. There doesn't seem to be a lot of them out there and can be a bit pricey.

Well you can't beat the price. They look good. What size are the Manhattans and what tire will you use? I don't have or know anyone who has a 3D printer so I'm subject to the vendors and JaysResin is one of the best.
