  1. Thanks Brian. Looks like I may be able to use the chassis as well.
  2. This is the engine that was in a built 1961 Mercury Monterey I bought on the bay. In all of my research I have not seen an air cleaner/carb set up like this. I'd like to convert the engine to a Ford 352 as found in the '61 Monterey. Is there a readily available kit that includes a nice example of a 352 or any suggestions on how to convert this engine? Thanks
  3. How about a shade of brown like a saddle. Maybe with black accents. The Foose seats are more orange than brown.
  4. Another beautiful Cad. Keep them coming.
  5. Nice work. Is that caddy a 1970?
  6. I think that grill was made by Uptownautomotive. Unfortunately it looks like they are no longer in business.
  7. Clean and mean.
  8. Thanks for the compliments. Yes. Found them on ebay.
  9. Your building and photography skills are killer.
  10. There's nothing like a classic Cadillac sedan. Fantastic!
  11. Very nice David!
  12. I especially love the Piranha set.
  13. All outstanding. Very nice!

  15. Thanks for the info. Now to find the right shade of red. Anyone have any suggestions? And Bill, I agree completely. That convertible is gorgeous and is what made me settle on the black over red combo. Just hope I can get it right. BTW here's what I'm working with...
  16. Who needs Uhaul when you've got an F150. Impressive.
  17. I have what appears to be the AMT 61 Mercury Monterey 2 door hardtop kit that I'd like to do in black with red interior. My Google searches only show this combination on the convertible. Does anyone know if the 61 hardtop was offered in this combo? Thanks
  18. The kit is the AWD version but I'll probably add 4X4 suspension. I'm thinking something more like this. I'll need to find a smaller wheel and tire package.
  19. Something I've been thinking about. I built this quite a few years ago but now I'm considering lifting the suspension and painting it white. What do you think?
  20. I have a few 60's - 70's Cadillac projects on the bench that I would like to add side mirrors to. I know these mirrors can be found in the Revell lowrider kit but I can't see spending $50 or more for 1 set of mirrors and then have a $50 kit with no mirrors. Is there anyone who has mastered 3D printing that would be willing/able to print a few sets of these in 1/25 scale?
  21. This Johan promo was pretty badly warped. I was able to get most of the body straightened out using the hot/cold water technique. The interior was beyond repair so I substituted one from a '59 Caddy sedan. The friction chassis was replaced with one from a '58 Chevy, extended to fit the Caddy wheelbase. Suspension lowered and hubcaps are '64 Caddy. Paint is Tamiya Champagne Gold.
  22. Beautifully done. I've been sitting on this kit for some time trying to figure out how to hot rod it but after seeing your build I'm having second thoughts. Maybe stock is the only way to go. Very very nice.
  23. This looks like it will be very interesting.
