  1. Lots of good info. One thing not really covered is wheels. Does it matter if the wheels roll or are glued in place? On the subject of weathering, it bugs me to see rusted hulks with new looking tires. I haven't built a beater yet but I think sanding off the tread and maybe a little heat to make the tires look deflated would look more realistic on a rust bucket.
  2. X2. The foil under paint technique can be tedious but the results are worth the time.
  3. I found these Olson Brothers resin fender skirts on ebay made specifically for the Foose Caddy. The casting is very clean and the fit is nearly perfect. These guys also make a bunch of cool parts for the Revell Bronco.
  4. I agree completely but I couldn't figure out the best way to scratch build the taillight fins. I do have another body and a die cast '51 Caddy that I'll use to sort it all out for another build. I think I'll use the kit interior on this one just to conserve time.
  5. Making progress on the hood. I tried to vacuum form a hood which didn't work out too well after several attempts. I cut one down and glued it over the kit hood to get the curve to match the windshield.
  6. Another awesome build Jim.
  7. That's pretty cool. Are you keeping the Eldorod scripts on the fenders?
  8. Thanks guys. I'm planning on keeping the three piece rear window and the two piece up front. The Caddy didn't go to a one piece windshield until 1950 and I want to keep this as close to a '48 as possible.
  9. Chassis is done. Revell 99 Corvette LS1 and I'll be using the Caddy STS engine cover.
  10. Some progress. Roof and trunk are in and door top edges rescribed just need some clean up.
  11. Very cool!
  12. I'm not sure what it means but I didn't park there.
  13. 1965? Ford LTD sedan. Not liking the choice of wheels but I haven't seen one of these on the road in a while.
  14. Very nicely done. I live the cap on the back seat.
  15. Beautiful! Nice and clean.
  16. Sweet Rivy all around. Great job!
  17. I believe that was the pilot episode. Big fan of James Garner and the Rockford Files. Your diorama is spot on.
  18. This is fantastic! Please keep the pictures coming.
  19. That's a nice looking truck!
  20. Is there a hard top included?
  21. Awesome!
  22. Dig the color combo. Very nice build.
