  1. That is one cool Stude!
  2. Got the trunk in, just need to fill in a few spaces.
  3. I think the fix for the windshield to hood fitment is a combination of what has been suggested. The donor roof can come down and moved forward a bit. The Foose version has the top door edge angled back, shere the original 1:1 door edge is more vertical. Once I correct that, the roof and windshield will move forward. I'll then have to remove some material from the hood.
  4. Lots of great comments, some that made me laugh out loud. To be clear, this build is not intended to be a dig against Chip Foose. I respect his talent which has gained him tremendous success even though I may not be a fan of all his work and I do think Overhaulin' is a bit too fluffy for my taste. Truth is I kind of like the Eldorod, I'm just not one to build what someone else has already done, the exception being my dad's '67 Galaxie. If you think about it, if it weren't for the Eldorod, Revell would probably never produce a '48 Eldorado so I'm thankful that they did and I'll put my own spin on it. Now back to the build.
  5. I'm a fan of the Scirocco so I'll be watching to see what you do with that.
  6. Thanks Mike. That may be the way to go. I'd then have to extend the top edge of the fenders to meet the hood.
  7. Yes Mike, the wheels are from a Welly '53 Eldorado.
  8. Just need to figure out what to do with the gap between the hood and windshield since the Foose hood was apparently sectioned. Any suggestions?
  9. Here's a mock up the roof. The trunk lid on the Caddy hasn't been cut out yet.
  10. I bought the Foose Eldorod from my local hobby shop and like others the windshield frame was slightly bent. No worries. I am going to use the roof and trunk lid from the AMT '51 Bel Air to bring the Caddy closer to stock with some custom touches. The problem is the Chevy and Caddy body dimensions are slighty off even though they are both listed as 1/25 scale. The good thing is the Chevy roof and trunk lid do fit the Caddy body somewhat.
  11. Renault Alpine spotted at the Miccosukee Service Station on I75, South Florida.
  12. Superb!
  13. Wow! Beautiful rendition of a beautiful car.
  14. Fantastic build! Extremely well done.
  15. Definitely something different and wild.
  16. If this were a 1:1 I'd say "how could you let you Beamer turn into such a rust bucket?" Since it's 1:24 I say "great job turning your Beamer into such a rust bucket!"
  17. Nicely done! I have one on the bench right now.
  18. Beautiful!
  19. Looks good in that color. Mean & nasty.
