  1. I agree with everyone else, both are very well done.
  2. Nice clean build. One of my favorite GM bodies.
  3. The video is just as cool as the build.
  4. Thanks. Steve, those are great pics that will help with the das detail.
  5. Thanks Bill and Jon. A member of the Cadillac and Lasalle Club Discussion forum says: "It could have been black, red, blue, aqua, green, covert, beige with matching/complimentary carpet." The exterior will be dark red or maroon so I'll go with black dash, steering wheel and carpet.
  6. I'm working on a 1968 Eldorado kit and planning on a white interior. Would the dashboard be black, white or body color. Unfortunately google hasn't been much help.
  7. Thanks so much for the compliments. I really enjoyed this build, my first completed resin. I may get another one of these and build as a resto mod Galaxie. I've always liked the body lines of the '67 Galaxie/LTD. Yes, Dad is a car guy for sure. I blame him for my car sickness. One of my earliest memories is sitting in the front seat of his '69 Torino, feet didn't even reach the floor, watching the scenery wiz by at warp speed. I had no idea humans could travel so fast. I've been hooked ever since. He even got me into building models. Thanks again!
  8. That's beautiful. Your mods flow with the body perfectly. Nice! I wish I would have saved kits from when I was a kid.
  9. Looks good! The paint job is perfection.
  10. Wow, that chassis is a great idea. Hope you don't mind if I "borrow" the idea on a future build.
  11. Very nice! The Gullwing is one of my top 3 all time favorite automobiles.
  12. That's very cool Jim. Takes me back to the good old days.
  13. Thanks guys! Mike, glad I could help. I've learned almost all of my modeling techniques from this forum. Here's the finished product.
  14. This is a replica of my Dad's 1967 Ford LTD which he customized. I started with a 67 Galaxie from Motor City Resin Casters and extended the C pillars. Paint is Tamiya Mica red and the vinyl roof is made with Model Factory Hiro's adhesive cloth. Tires are from Fireball Modelworks wrapped around Oldsmobile Fiestas I got from Paul Gardner as well as the side mirror. Lakes pipes were provided by my buddy Clay at Caloosa Plastic Modelers. The Galaxie interior was modified to match the LTD and the engine is from an AMT 67 Comet. The rear end sits a bit lower than I wanted and there are a few flaws but overall I'm pretty happy with it. Thanks for looking and let me know what you think.
  15. Thanks Jeff. Hope you'll like the finished product.
  16. I think the engine is from the AMT 67 Comet. I can't remember where the valve covers are from. The air cleaner was in the parts box.
  17. The finished interior bucket.
  18. The kit came with bucket seats so I modified the front seat from a 55 Chevy. I sanded off the details and added half round strips for the pleats and thin round strip for the piping. The rear seat is from the resin kit and received the same treatment along with an armrest.
  19. The door panels had to be changed to match the LTD.
