  1. My wife saw this parked at the DMV. I have no idea what it is. Can anyone identify it. Sorry for the poor pic.
  2. I was excited to see this kit on ebay recently and was going to bid. Luckily I found a kit review by Chuck Most, I believe, before I bid. I passed.
  3. The paint, the stance, the engine bay details, even the custom roof.
  4. Looking really good Steven. The dash alone is a work of art. I love your wood grain technique.
  5. I'm digging this. If only Revell would tool a stock version of the 48 Cadillac so we get those classic body lines to play with. A 55 would be nice too.
  6. You are correct. It's Testor enamel not Model Master. I'll follow your suggested wait times between coats when I respray. I used Tamiya Lacquer Thinner and wiped off all the paint and primer then washed the hood with dishwashing liquid. Letting it dry thoroughly before I try it again.
  7. Very nice job. Looking at the Torino next to the Maverick takes me way back in time.
  8. 1949!? Wow. Nice job on a true collectors item. Luxurious for its time but getting in and out of the back seats couldn't have been too pretty.
  9. What did you do to fix it? There's quite a bit of bondo under the paint and I'm not sure how it would hold up in the purple stuff.
  10. Awesome. Please tell us how you corrected the headlights.
  11. Cool. If you can, invest in some Microscale Micro Sol & Micro Set. Helps to get the decals to lay flat and they're not expensive at all. Like Bob said, keep building.
  12. Great job on the interior!
  13. Very nice and represents your 1:1 perfectly.
  14. Wow! That's a lot of bugs.
  15. You're probably right about mixing the formulas but I wonder why (but am glad) that it Thank you very much sir. Both great suggestions. I have a die cast '51 Caddy I would snatch the taillights from, it's the fins and getting them both correct, that would be the challenge for me.
  16. I love the color choices. Nicely done.
  17. Got some color on it. Model Master light purple with Tamiya pearl clear and clear. Looks blue in the pictures though. Need to rub out the orange peel. For some reason the paint on the hood cracked. Anyone know what causes that?
  18. Nothing says high fashion like an old Trailblazer
