  1. I'd love to see some Kindigit Designs (Bitchin Rides) in scale.
  2. 2 beautiful models. Why not paint the roof and trunk with the flat earth?
  3. I have one I built years ago. Might be time for a refresh. ?
  4. Wow. I tried to come up with something else to say but wow pretty much says it.
  5. What you have sounds like Silver Leaf. The adhesive is usually called "size", pronounced like the body of water as in the 7 seas. Here's a video of a guy, more like an artist, using it on bike's gas tank. I've tried it on a model years ago with some success. The silver leaf seems to be almost brittle and breaks into pieces. The one I used was multi colored so it worked ok. I'll see if I have a picture.
  6. My first time seeing one of these. I'm not sure I'd be happy going to my final resting place in a Pacifica but at that point I guess it doesn't really matter.
  7. Another hit Jeff! Can you tell us what you use for the pinstripe?
  8. 1976 Chrysler New Yorker. One if my favorite land barges minus the trunk mounted spare.
  9. Some nice classics stashed in the low rent district.
  10. AMT '49 Merc built years ago
  11. If you can't see where you're going in that with the pedal to the floor shouldn't be too hard to find death.
  12. No expert but a quick Google search shows it should work. 1963 1964
  13. All scripts and trim are in good condition on both. The only thing I'd maybe, possibly, might do is shave the door handles on the mild custom. Still thinking about that. Thanks for the input Jeff. I'm a big fan of your work and can't wait to see your latest conversion. I had thought about converting one of the coupes into a Fleetwood Brougham. That would take some time, planning and focus which for me translates into another forever project. Thanks
  14. The title alone told me not to look but I did anyway. When will I learn to listen to myself?
  15. Thanks Snake. I'm talking about the Coupe DeVille, not the Eldorado but you did give me an idea to check ebay. When I checked there were 7 Johan '67 DeVilles, 5 coupes and 2 convertibles. 1 convertible is an actual promo, the rest are all friction. No kits, built or unbuilt. I was in agreement with Espo until I did this unscientific research. The reason why I ask is because I have 1 of each, a 67 coupe friction in need of a little of love and a glue bombed kit in need of a whole lot of love. I'm considering cleaning up the friction model as showroom stock with details. For the kit I'm toying with the idea of a mild custom. Drop in an LS since it has an opening hood and engine bay, lowered stance with updated wheels and tires and a custom interior. Just don't want to devalue something that may be quite rare. Thanks
  16. Can anyone tell me which is more rare, Johan's '67 Cadillac kit or friction toy model?
  17. Very nice! It was at about that age I gave up on the hobby and discovered something a bit more challenging, girls.
  18. "Muscle car folk art". Never knew that was a thing. At least it reduces your tool box down to glue and a knife. But as he said, "But it's better to build 'em raw than not to build at all."
  19. Yup! Found some helpful info in Steve's 68 Coronet build thread. He is certainly one of the best builders around.
  20. I tried the search feature and came up with 17,000 answers. I am looking for tips and advice on making the seats in an old Johan look more realistic. These are the front seats that are molded into the interior bucket. I separated the seats from the bucket but kind of stuck on what to do next. Any info is appreciated.
