I recently got a hold of a 1970 Pontiac Grand Prix SJ. It looks to be the MPC kit. The engine the model came with is not very detailed and is missing the air cleaner, valve covers and oil pan. The exhaust manifolds look like they were glued on backwards. I'd like to find a nice looking 455 V8 engine for this build. Does anyone know what kit would have the best representation of that engine? Or, is there a good aftermarket resin or 3D out there? I'd also like to replace the stock hubcaps with a nice set of 15" Pontiac Rally 2 wheels. Thanks

New Mustang Mach E
Perspect Scale Modelworks replied to Jon Haigwood's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Probably not. I have nothing against e cars but I am protesting the fact that they named it Mustang. With all the names from previous years Ford could have used and let the Mustang be a Mustang. Comet, Fairlane, Granada, Torino, Pinto. Well maybe not Pinto but you get what I'm saying. But it would be nice to have more modern cars kitted in an effort to invite new people into the hobby. Why they continue to reproduce these oooolllddd kits is beyond me and I'm in my 50's. -
Yeah, I let the PB account go a long time ago but fortunately I have everything on an external hard drive. I recently picked up another snap Tahoe kit so there may be another 2 door coming. Here are some pics. Several years ago I converted a Tahoe into a Suburban. I was never really happy with end result so at some point I'll revisit it. Thanks for looking!

Very nice. I have this kit in the stash and haven't built it yet because I'm debating whether to go stock or hotrod. I was leaning towards stock until now. Looks good.

Hold everything! My apologies to Modelhaus. I just sifted through my emails again and there was my order confirmation. I'm not sure how I missed it the last 2 times I looked for it. What an idiot ?. I've ordered from Modelhaus before with no issues so I was concerned when I thought I hadn't received a confirmation. My bad. Modelhaus is great. Now I'll order those wheel backs I need. Thanks Mike and Bernard. Sorry for wasting your time.

Does anyone know how to contact Modelhaus Tires? On August 30 or so I ordered 3 sets of tires. I haven't received any communications saying they've received my order, shipping info or anything. The Contact page on the site says, " We couldn't find the page you were looking for. This is either because: There is an error in the URL entered into your web browser. Thanks Phillip. i believe color matched hubcaps was one of the many options back then. Thanks Tom. The side molding is actually painted. I'm trying to figure out a way to have the chrome strip surround the moldings. Just seems like a lot of work ?. Thank you. The Galloway Green Firemist was a request. It was nowhere on my radar and now I want to paint everything that color. It seems to bring out the elegant lines of the car. I have a '61 Fleetwood that I might use it on even though it wasn't available in '61. Thanks everyone

I have to give a big shout out to Jay at jaysresinwheels. I found them one day while cruising ebay. I bought a set of his Raceline Manhattans for my 67 Coupe DeVille. I loved the wheels but the deep offset wasn't the flavor I wanted. I contacted Jay to see if he had a "stock" version of the Manhattans which he didn't but by the next day I was able to purchase a set he just whipped up. It was a great customer service experience, a nice, clean product and a really nice price. On the left is the deep offset, the middle is the style I was looking for, and the right is after a little paint and BMF. A mock up on the 67 The 1:1

Beautiful work. Only thing, the spark plug wires may be a bit out of scale.
