Thanks Tom. I was able to get a set of decals from someone on Instagram. Hopefully they arrive soon. I'll pull the rest of the decal off the door and apply the new one. I have to say how much I am disappointed would be the word, that I was able to get a quicker response on Instagram than I did here. Assuming this forum to be a model building community, it has always been my go to source. Perhaps the Instagram community is just bigger. I don't know.

Nice Woody you have there?. Where did you get the washi tape. I've been searching but none look as good as yours.

Blunder. I sprayed the decal with a thin coat of TS-13 and masked it off after the clear dried with Tamiya tape. Repainted the door, removed the tape, and got this; ? A small piece of the decal stuck to the tape and I have a nice tape line. I should have used the Post it method. I asked in the Wanted section if anyone has a set of decals they don't need. Got 1 response but I don't have anything they were looking to trade for. I ordered an aftermarket set found on eBay but it's not great quality and the lines are thicker than the kit decal. I have a set of Gofer Racing pinstripes that I'll try to modify. If that doesn't work I'll have to buy another kit just for the decals. ?

Thanks for the suggestion Dusty. I tested the future on a scrap hood using the same paint and a decal from the kit sheet. When the Micro Set and Sol dried I burnished a piece of Tamiya masking tape over the decal and pulled it off without disturbing the decal. Then I sprayed one coat of clear. There doesn't seem to be any bad reaction between the future and the TS 13 but I can see an outline of where the almost dry brushed future was applied. I doubt the outline would disappear with more clear coats so I'll call that one a fail.

I know the title is not too specific but here's my dilemma. This is the Revell '69 Camaro SS kit painted with Scalefinishes' GM Azure Turquoise. While applying the decal I noticed something in the paint. After the decal was in place using Micro Sol & Set, I used a fine tipped brush and dry brushed paint from the bottle over the spot. The dab appears a couple of shades darker than the rest of the door. Since the spot is so close to the decal I'm considering putting Future over the decal, mask the decal and spray a coat of paint on the door. My concerns are 1. Will the Tamiya masking tape pull off the Future? 2. Will the Future interact with the Tamiya TS-13 clear? Long winded but hope the problem is clear. Thanks

This is an excellent idea. Practical and relatively easy to make. What are the aluminum angle pieces used for? -
