  1. I wish I could comment on the quality of MCW paint but each time I ask if they have or can mix a specific color, they don't reply to my emails (business must be that good). So I've been using Scale Finishes for airbrushing and Tamiya for spraying.
  2. Thank you sir Thanks! Lol. Thanks. I can't believe my wife never heard that saying. Thank you. The taillights were covered in BMF then red and orange sharpies and a mixture of clear and white for the backup lights.
  3. Thanks! Wow you're right. Dealing with all the other flaws I didn't notice that. Thanks Totally disappointing kit. Revell could have done so much better. Thanks Thanks Michelle. Thank you
  4. I was a bit intimidated hearing some say a black paint job is hard to get right especially since any paint job is hard to get right for me. But I think I got this one right. All Tamiya rattle cans, primer, color and clear, as well as Tamiya compound after wet sanding.
  5. Very nice. Nice to see a one of these built stock and with a vinyl top.
  6. Underwhelming indeed. Thanks! Thank you. Thanks! Lol. Appreciate it!
  7. Thanks David. Funny story. I worked at a dealership up until recently and was always paranoid about driving cars home. The Murphy's law thing.
  8. Thanks Mario. The interior is actually silver.
  9. This is Revell's latest reissue of the '81 Z28. Not a great kit. I tried to correct some it's many flaws. The kit interior is very light on detail and actually looks more like a Firebird interior. The owner supplied the interior from a Monogram 1/24 '80 Camaro which I finessed into the 1/25 body, added Berlinetta strips and piping. Wheels are from a Monte Carlo on Parts Pack tires. The T-tops were removed and I corrected the front and rear windows. Paint is Scale Finishes' Chevy Charcoal Metallic. It's built curbside so I didn't have to deal with replacing the engine. Thanks for looking. Hope you like. Let me know what you think.
  10. I was on the fence about the vinyl top but have decided against it. Also thinking about turquoise.
  11. Thanks for the input Jim. dropping the front end would certainly give it a more aggressive look but this one will sit at stock ride height all around.
  12. Johan '65 Rambler with Revell '68 Charger wheels and Modelhaus tires. Will be built stock. I'd like to get your opinions please. Thanks
  13. A while back I picked up some Revell Contacta Clear at my LHS. I just used it on my last 2 builds and it seems like good stuff. A little thicker than Micro Krystal clear but it worked well with a thinner brush than the one in the cap. It drys clear, pretty quickly, and has a strong bond.
  14. Very nice Buick. Who made the wheels?
  15. Thanks Jeff. Facebook ?. I'll give it a try.
  16. My hat's off to anyone who takes on a Pocher. Nice job.
  17. This build is still great to look at. Anyone know how to see what's available from Too Many Projects?
