  1. Tricky question really. Not sure what I would want, I have had the chance to drive a lot of different vehicles ( no real high dollar super cars, but a lot of classic cars), and to be honest, some of the stuff I had thought I'd like to own, was a big let down after actually driving it. I guess what I mean to say is, they look awesome, big horsepower, but actually suck to drive. Even with money no object, I'd hate to buy something then find out I hate driving it, lol. So, in the end, I'd go with a 66 chevelle SS convert., with a 4 speed, or a 70 chevelle SS convert. with an LS6 and a 4 speed.
  2. No new pics, but body has been sanded, polished and I did the BMF this morning. Hopefully next update will be with body/chassis mated together. Thanks for looking.
  3. Try amazon, you might find a deal on some.
  4. Terry, I think while you wait to finish all these cool looking projects, you should make a large diorama of a big rig boneyard, put them all in it to give the illusion that they are completed builds, lol. Seriously though, some cool looking projects you have going on.
  5. This is going to be another one that is fun to watch come together. Will be watching for sure.
  6. Thanks for all the input guys. I have done some 110 stuff, but no 220 stuff. I fully understand the proper grounding aspect of electrical work, last thing I want to do is turn this tub into cooking pot due to an electrical issue. Tom, going to put it on a ground level deck, 2x12 construction with joists 12" on center with every other joist 'doubled up' with 4 4x4 in between each of the doubled up joists, then 4x4's in the ground (all carriage bolted together), I figure that should handle the 5000 pounds of tub. That's a beefier build than my existing deck, and the existing deck has had some major snow loads on it over the years without issues. Crappy description, but I hope it makes sense the way I typed it. I'll update this as progress is made. Thanks again all.
  7. Hi all, have a hot tub coming and need some electrical help, I am pretty handy with stuff, but would like some professional help/advice. If you can offer any help, please PM me and I will tell ya what I need to accomplish. Thanks in advance, Tom
  8. With that kind of time frame, count me in.
  9. looks like model roundup may have some in stock still. I just placed an order for two of them from there, hope they still have them....
  10. Jon, I have it in a display case, toward the front, so I had to measure it in an eyeball kinda way [case is a paint to move to get into], but it looks to be 6 1/2 to maybe 7 tall from 'ground' to car roof top.
  11. Guess it's a good thing I still have 2 of the original releases, and 2 of the prestige kits. I shoulda pre ordered a couple of these though.....
  12. If I get a chance tonight I will measure it for you. Yes, paint all parts first, then assemble, much easier that way. Also of note, the plumbing diagram sucks for the hydraulic lines, and you have to make holes or fittings for the rams for the hoses to attach to them.
  13. If we have a 3 month window to do a build I would give it a go. but even three months can be a short time period ( seems like a lot of time, but then life gets in the way and boom, ya missed the deadline). Cool idea either way though.
  14. Haven't uploaded a pic yet, but got a Bill Signs kit in the mail yesterday, finally, lol now with pic.....
  15. it's a touch wider than the 2x4 it's sitting on.
  16. this should give you an idea,
  17. Chuck, you never disappoint! But given the crane and the lift gate, it needs something industrial on the back, just my thoughts.
  18. As the title says, who here has one, and what advice/reviews can you offer? My wife has decided we 'need' one, and truthfully, I would not mind a nice warm water jet soak after a long days work. I have been looking on line at reviews and such, but there seems to be a ton of manufacturers out there with similar products and warranties. So I thought I would ask you all what your using, what brand, what model, and what your experience has been with what you bought. Obviously the having to get it serviced if broken will depend on the location and the experience of the tech involved in the repair, so I may not need that info, but overall, what has your experience been with the quality of what you bought? I figure this is as off topic as it gets, so please indulge me. Thanks, Tom
  19. coming along very good! this is going to be a sharp model when done.
  20. I think we are ready for wet sand and polish
