  1. I am suprised at the cracks. I have one of these kits about half done, it has been fighting me tooth and nail all the way. I got frustrated and boxed it up for now. I hope you have better luck with yours.
  2. wow, just wow, I have been slacking on keeping up with stuff here, looking fantastic Joe. only one complaint.....no balance weight on the driveshaft..........
  3. Joe, have 2 each of the new moebius trucks on order
  4. Brent, thank you Joe, this was the plan all along
  5. looking good. I did 6 of these at once a few months ago. it makes a great looking model.
  6. Kevin, seems as though I have used diamond dust on something and really liked it.........maybe on my nova??
  7. man that's nice! beautiful build.
  8. hard to say, seems like everytime you turn around there is some long lost vehicle seeing the light of day as the 'old timers' [and I mean 80 and above types] pass away and the family has no interest in whats in 'the shed', and bam, some long lost classic sees sunshine again at the sale.
  9. good thing you were there, way to step up and help out some one in dire need.
  10. that color combo is a knock out! looking great so far.
  11. thanks all. got more work done today, wheels and tires are done and on, body is back in color too will probably wet sand and clear it this weekend. thanks for following along.
  12. brand new [4 miles] 15 'vette in my bay at work this morning, took a little test drive in it, then finished the pre delivery check on it. boy these things are quick, i can't imagine what full throttle in 7th gear is like.....
  13. Wow, that is beautiful, excellent save.
  14. hehe, ya, that was pretty bad, but I couldn't resist
  15. ........as long as there are no clingons near Uranus, it's all good..........
  16. ok Bob.........tell him what he's won....................
  17. to me, I think it's best to display the model with the hood/doors whatever closed at first, when it looks like the judges are making the rounds, open everything up that opens. usually the judges will walk around looking at all the models before actual judging begins. I figure if all is closed etc. during the casual observation, they get a look at it in one 'light', then when the judging begins, they see it in another 'light' with everything open and showing. I could be completely wrong, but it seems to be what I have noticed at the shows I have been to.
  18. thanks again everyone, was a long process. I thought of chaining the cars down, but want to be able to move them around/remove them to transport to shows without spending a day to un-chain them. the PE wipers were a great thing [thanks again to JimB], as the lumber thick stock ones were not going to fly. a member here sent me instructions on how to lower the cab,[ I am embarrassed by the fact I can't recall who it was] but I didn't feel my skills were up to trying it yet, so most likely on the next one I will give it a try.
  19. I found some Tupperware type containers at Walmart, they have snap on lids and handles, I can fit 3 cars in each and lay micro-fiber towels between them and the ends of the container. also, the lids are molded in such a way that the bottom of another container fits onto the lid, so you can stack them. then drive slowly....lol.
  20. i'm not partial to one scale or another, if the subject matter is cool, scale be damned
  21. that looks terrific! paint and stripes set each other off very nice.
