  1. that looks stellar! awesome build KJ.
  2. sweet! looks great so far.
  3. welcome! that door panel looks fantastic, great job! body paint, yup, toughest part of these little buggers, did my first paint job twice [and still wasn't happy]. lot of ways to strip the paint, then you just start over fresh. lot of good info on how to strip paint, how to fix little mistakes, and how to really make it shine on the site, lot of good reading, it taught me a lot. keep on going, it's looking good so far.
  4. Joe, looking sweet buddy! that body is drop dead awesome! now quit clowning around, I need another update
  5. Steve, looking good man can't wait to see it all come together, best wishes for a smooth paint job, always the toughest part of a build in my opinion.
  6. so it looks like if time and energy permits, this week will be devoted to foiling the rest of the bodies, then it'll be headliner time. after that, I might be able to start mating bodies and chassis parts permanently. thanks for tuning in............
  7. feeling myself again, so got a lot done this weekend while time permitted although it may not seem like much progress, we all know how time fly's when you're at the bench. finally got the last two interiors done, so all 6 of those are in the 'done pile' waiting to be installed. got the radiator supports on, and batteries wired up and drive shafts in, also got one body foiled and some PE parts put on, still need to clean it up and touch up a few bits, but one body is almost 'done'
  8. thanks for checking in guys seem to have caught a bit of a stomach bug this past weekend [nailed me sunday], spent two days in bed or in the bathroom , so no bench time this week with any luck, i should be back at the bench this weekend, as i am just about back to feeling like myself again stay tuned for more 6 pack madness soon.........
  9. thanks everyone for keeping me going on this! your input keeps me dialed in to finish this. Steve, the door panel trim is done in BMF, wasn't easy in a few spots, but worth the effort. give it a shot, you'll like the results. as of today, I have most of the last two interiors done, need to finish off the dash boards and paint the steering wheels, should have that stuff done tomorrow. no pic's yet, but started BMF'ing one of the bodies, hopefully tomorrow I can get in the BMF zone and get a few bodies done. as usual, thanks for following along, and look for some new pic's tomorrow night.........
  10. this really turned out great, awesome job Sean
  11. i'm liking it! I really like the cab paint and decal colors, really works well together. whole color combo is pretty sweet really. keep at it, looking good. hopefully all the other stuff you have going on straightens out soon for you.
  12. sweet! that interior is a work of art. as mentioned, wheels/tires look dy-no-mite!
  13. thanks everyone, it's been a bit of a challenge, but I am getting closer, your comments are much appreciated and keep me chipping away on this project. I hope to get a lot done this weekend, plan on spending some quality time at the bench. I have a few things to try to make headliners for the cars, still need to finish off the last two interiors, and have to BMF all of the bodies. once those tasks are complete, things should really start happening as far as completing some cars. Al, I think I had posted the color before, but I think it got 'lost' during that week the site had some issues. it is actually a GM color called 'Green O'Clock' [atleast that's what it says on the can], it is used on 1:1 Camaros from a few years ago [2010 maybe?], I saw it on a new spark at work, on that car I think it's called dragon green or the like. it comes as a two can kit, base coat green, and a green tint top coat. after looking at it some, it's pretty close to testors lime ice [i think that's what it's called], although I think it may be a bit darker. if you like, I can dig up the GM part number for it if you wanted to order some. thanks again for following along, stay tuned for new pic's over the weekend........
  14. one word.....WOW!
  15. Jeff, wow man, looks killer so far! you going to the Utica show? would like to meet up if you're going.
  16. Dan, awesome work on this project, can't wait to see it finished! just terrific!
  17. JT, this is gonna be awesome, man you got the knack for building different, eye appealing rigs! Jeff, we live in NY, we get 4 seasons in a day sometimes and lets face it, lately, 20 degrees is a heat wave
  18. Joe, I gotta stop looking at this thread, cause you keep putting ideas in my mind for my Camaro builds........just stop already would ya?? lol I am not doing wire harnesses for 6 cars, not gonna happen....... keep it up man, you're a detail animal, I love it!!
  19. so far, I like how it's going, but I see some assembly issues that are gonna be tough to deal with, all the added stuff kind of gets in the way of things, so not sure how it's all gonna go once all the stuff is glued to the chassis and I try to stuff them all together......thanks for looking, and stay tuned................
  20. thanks all, your replies are keeping me going on this insane project Gene, yes MM leather, brush painted over white sprayed on primer. todays update, all 6 chassis are now rollers with engines installed. I decided to add brake lines off the master cylinders, so did that little exercise 6 times, after that, I thought I would mock up a couple of the cars to get a feel for how things were looking,
  21. that looks great, nice rebuild on a cool old wrecker.
  22. looking great! that black truck is a beauty, I can see why it got you going.
  23. hahaha, is the master cylinder cap going to be removeable as well? sorry, couldn't help myself, awesome work Joe, keep it up
  24. that's pretty slick, great work on a great idea.
