  1. .......tease............ can't wait man!
  2. glad you got it settled, looks good so far can't wait to see the body in color, sounds dynamite!
  3. looking good so far, the 1:1 looks great as well. I used to have a 71 SS [black on black, 270hp 350, 4 spd, console delete, tall spoiler], so have a couple of these kits to eventually replicate that car, just need to figure out how to change the nose to a straight bumper configuration. will be following this for sure.
  4. thanks all, much appreciated number one is officially done, mirrors are on. took a few more pic's to try to capture the color and shine, .........now, on to the other 5...........lol........stay tuned........
  5. cool, glad you got it sorted out.
  6. pic's are a little dark, but it's snowing out, so no natural light pic's yet.
  7. thanks again guys, it sure is a trip doing these things well, other than the outside rearview mirrors, number 1 is done
  8. thanks guys look for new pic's tomorrow as I hope to finish this one up.
  9. Steve, I found on mine that after I test fit it with the interior, firewall and radiator support, it all sat pretty good motor-wise. assuming you have the motor seated fully in the 'mounts', I had a couple of mine want to lift up on one side for some reason, where the others sat nice and 'flat'.
  10. I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for this to get done, lol. I don't know if I mentioned it before, but you are partly responsible for it taking me so long on my little project [ ok, it was really inspiration after watching all you've done, you pushed me to add a little more detail to things, for that, I say thanks]. keep at it man, love seeing the updates
  11. teaser pic's......finish line is close for one..... should have pic's of this one completed at some point tomorrow, and hopefully some progress pic's of another one
  12. Joe, looks great buddy, really looking forward to seeing this beauty complete.
  13. as you can see, i paint everything half the time not real sure why that ended up like it did, but all areas that are seen, are in fact covered.
  14. yes, BMF is awesome, cuts with just the weight of the blade, and leaves no residue. from what I see of what you've done so far with your current product, BMF will be a breeze for you to work with and you'll love it.
  15. lol, you and me both got this one in the final stages, chassis and interior are now mated, glass is in etc.. the mirrors are painted, and I painted the lower tail section and rear spoiler this evening. with luck, this car will be done by weekends end [ got bowling tomorrow night, and have to work Saturday, so sunday will be the day I hope]. I get this one wrapped up and the others will go together quicker I hope as this was the test car to see how everything was going to mate up. look for some pic's of a complete car sunday
  16. that looks stellar! awesome build KJ.
  17. sweet! looks great so far.
  18. welcome! that door panel looks fantastic, great job! body paint, yup, toughest part of these little buggers, did my first paint job twice [and still wasn't happy]. lot of ways to strip the paint, then you just start over fresh. lot of good info on how to strip paint, how to fix little mistakes, and how to really make it shine on the site, lot of good reading, it taught me a lot. keep on going, it's looking good so far.
  19. Joe, looking sweet buddy! that body is drop dead awesome! now quit clowning around, I need another update
  20. Steve, looking good man can't wait to see it all come together, best wishes for a smooth paint job, always the toughest part of a build in my opinion.
  21. so it looks like if time and energy permits, this week will be devoted to foiling the rest of the bodies, then it'll be headliner time. after that, I might be able to start mating bodies and chassis parts permanently. thanks for tuning in............
  22. feeling myself again, so got a lot done this weekend while time permitted although it may not seem like much progress, we all know how time fly's when you're at the bench. finally got the last two interiors done, so all 6 of those are in the 'done pile' waiting to be installed. got the radiator supports on, and batteries wired up and drive shafts in, also got one body foiled and some PE parts put on, still need to clean it up and touch up a few bits, but one body is almost 'done'
  23. thanks for checking in guys seem to have caught a bit of a stomach bug this past weekend [nailed me sunday], spent two days in bed or in the bathroom , so no bench time this week with any luck, i should be back at the bench this weekend, as i am just about back to feeling like myself again stay tuned for more 6 pack madness soon.........
