  1. I dig it! nice touch with the 'facilities'
  2. sweet rig I too have one in the stash, already have a ton of projects lined up, but maybe 2016 will be the year of the wrecker builds for me [have 1/2 a dozen various wreckers in the stash]
  3. Dan, this is shaping up great, didn't think you'd get that many mopars on it, but by golly, you're doin it! can't wait to get to the point of starting my hauler part of my project.
  4. Bill, sweet group of kits! you really don't need that bill signs kit, so i'd be glad to take it off your hands, it'll just be in your way anyway my wife got me this hoard of trucks for Christmas, she also got me a few cars,

    70 Cuda

looking good! color is beautiful and the wheels look fantastic, really fit the car nicely.
  6. ok, new stuff engine shop was busy today, got 4 about 99% done, will paint the transmissions on all of them aluminum when I am done handling them. got 2 more to run fuel line and plug wires on, but kinda ran out of steam today so anyway, here is todays progress, and got the last two interior tubs 'carpeted' thanks for following along, hope to get more done this coming weekend.
  7. it is kinda funny in a way, as we all know how freekin small those looms are, but photographed like that, they seem like they would be easy to work with, haha. I go about cross-eyed trying to thread the wires thru them, and heaven forbid I drop one............. Joe, where are you getting drill bits that small? I need some smaller ones, but no luck finding them local without spending a fortune. I have a pin-vise, but the bits just aren't small enough for some things i'd like to try. thanks for any help on those.
  8. thanks guys. have had a bit of a family issue this past week, so no bench time, but I think tomorrow morning I can get into the 'zone' and get something done [i need it for therapy this week.....], hope to have some new pic's of more wired/plumbed big blocks tomorrow. I also got my last color of flocking I had been waiting for, so another interior can get carpeted as well. thanks again for following along, check in tomorrow for some new pic's
  9. I would be tempted to just display the motor by itself, what a work of art, shame to hide it under a hood. I cannot wait to see more of this build, just fabulous so far, great work.
  10. well, now that you have a dip stick, you better figure out how to make the oil fil cap removeable looks fantastic
  11. Cliff, glad you chose to stick around, great group of 'truck' guys here, and your plan sounds terrific! I too would like to say thanks for serving, I get to do what I want to do thanks to people like yourself. so, what's on the bench now?
  12. Kevin, as Peter said, new re-issue of the AMX, only game in town for the AMX, so I will live with the odd scale.
  13. this is beyond cool! I can't help but wonder if you could graft in the bed/side walls from a 66 elcamino, or the 65 elcamino to help ease the transition from bed floor to back window? just tossing it out there as it popped into my mind. the addition of the bit of deck lid on the rear rail of the bed is pure genius, looks awesome.
  14. as Oscar said, I was painting or primering something, and it looked sweet, so I kind of tilted it to see if I had good coverage on the rockers, and poof......it came apart and my fresh paint/primer was roof down in my booth........was not happy....... lesson learned, and passed on, lol. still need to take my own advice and 'doctor up' the newest one before I have a repeat performance........ and back to the builds at hand, I should have some new pic's tomorrow at some point, I have 3 more engines set up to run wires and make fuel lines for. stay tuned.....
  15. Joe, I can't wait to see what you do with a clean slate! I have enjoyed this project so far, keep up the good work.
  16. very nice work so far, looks fantastic.
  17. Joe, do yourself a favor, glue AND tape the top and bottom halves of those stands together as they will come apart at the most inopportune time....ask me how i know.......lol.
  18. they are Tamiya, i bought two of them on-line thru amazon, and i got one at my local hobby lobby. it's a two stand kit, one for holding the body, and another to hold parts. and they are on a 'turn table', makes life much easier.
  19. that looks fantastic! you're really bringing this ,motor to life.
  20. wow guys, that's an incredible bunch of builds, everyone! these would all make for one super table at a show for sure. if interested, the 'case' i have the prostar in is from Garry Wallace of GW trucks, i picked it up at the fulton model show, very nice display case.
  21. I may have another one, but can't remember back that far, lol. plus I did a few cars too.
