  1. lol, are we all brothers or something? i have a dozen r/c trucks out in the garage. HPI savage's [1/8th scale], a couple HPI nitro m/t's [1/10th], a storm buggy, and HPI hellfire, a losi lst 2 and a few others, along with 30 or so bodies, several tire sets and enough support equiptment to start a hobby shop. and yes, my wife is pretty cool about my plastic addiction
  2. thanks all the impala body was supposed to be a test body for painting, but the first try came out so good, i had to build it
  3. Joe, i get the flocking from 'the model car garage', i also got 90% of the PE stuff and 'wiring' from there as well. they have a ton of stuff and great customer service.
  4. haha, I live closer, shipping would be cheaper
  5. congrat's on the new ride, very sharp looking and those wheels look great on it.
  6. I bet there was a lot of the same sentiment when all the names we know today became 'general motors' back in the day. and ya, Bill pretty much nailed it otherwise.
  7. here's my list of 2014 completions, I think that's it for cars, the rest of my builds were big rigs.
  8. I didn't realize that I had finished these during 2014 as well,
  9. Chuck, you are the rust king! another rusty beauty, well done man.
  10. I dig it! nice touch with the 'facilities'
  11. sweet rig I too have one in the stash, already have a ton of projects lined up, but maybe 2016 will be the year of the wrecker builds for me [have 1/2 a dozen various wreckers in the stash]
  12. Dan, this is shaping up great, didn't think you'd get that many mopars on it, but by golly, you're doin it! can't wait to get to the point of starting my hauler part of my project.
  13. Bill, sweet group of kits! you really don't need that bill signs kit, so i'd be glad to take it off your hands, it'll just be in your way anyway my wife got me this hoard of trucks for Christmas, she also got me a few cars,

looking good! color is beautiful and the wheels look fantastic, really fit the car nicely.
  15. ok, new stuff engine shop was busy today, got 4 about 99% done, will paint the transmissions on all of them aluminum when I am done handling them. got 2 more to run fuel line and plug wires on, but kinda ran out of steam today so anyway, here is todays progress, and got the last two interior tubs 'carpeted' thanks for following along, hope to get more done this coming weekend.
  16. it is kinda funny in a way, as we all know how freekin small those looms are, but photographed like that, they seem like they would be easy to work with, haha. I go about cross-eyed trying to thread the wires thru them, and heaven forbid I drop one............. Joe, where are you getting drill bits that small? I need some smaller ones, but no luck finding them local without spending a fortune. I have a pin-vise, but the bits just aren't small enough for some things i'd like to try. thanks for any help on those.
  17. thanks guys. have had a bit of a family issue this past week, so no bench time, but I think tomorrow morning I can get into the 'zone' and get something done [i need it for therapy this week.....], hope to have some new pic's of more wired/plumbed big blocks tomorrow. I also got my last color of flocking I had been waiting for, so another interior can get carpeted as well. thanks again for following along, check in tomorrow for some new pic's
  18. I would be tempted to just display the motor by itself, what a work of art, shame to hide it under a hood. I cannot wait to see more of this build, just fabulous so far, great work.
  19. well, now that you have a dip stick, you better figure out how to make the oil fil cap removeable looks fantastic
  20. Cliff, glad you chose to stick around, great group of 'truck' guys here, and your plan sounds terrific! I too would like to say thanks for serving, I get to do what I want to do thanks to people like yourself. so, what's on the bench now?
  21. Kevin, as Peter said, new re-issue of the AMX, only game in town for the AMX, so I will live with the odd scale.
  22. this is beyond cool! I can't help but wonder if you could graft in the bed/side walls from a 66 elcamino, or the 65 elcamino to help ease the transition from bed floor to back window? just tossing it out there as it popped into my mind. the addition of the bit of deck lid on the rear rail of the bed is pure genius, looks awesome.
