  1. Sam, no, I got all the above stuff at a show today.
  2. agreed, this thing is unreal, pictures don't do it justice, just so many little details, absolutely stunning work!
  3. Chris, for pictures, check hanks truck pictures web site, ton of truck pictures there. I am using them for reference for the CF kit I am doing. I also got my CF decals from Jerry, good stuff, and he has a ton of carrier's to choose from.
  4. no pic's yet, but picked up a sealed Mack Cruise Liner, and got another GMC General, and some other bits and parts, also bought a ton of decals for all manner of big rig applications
  5. great time today, talked with a bunch of great folks, bought some kits and detail bits, and walked what seems like 100 miles bouncing around the show. I also saw a bunch of builds that I remember seeing on here, it was cool to see them 'live'. talked with a few of the guys that built them, and would have liked to talk to the rest, but no name tags or pictures of the builders so I missed a few guys. had a great time, and if any of you guys wonder about going next year, mark your calendar, it's well worth going to.
  6. thanks guys went to a model show today in Fulton NY, scored some cool stuff, was a great show, AND I managed to find the final motion Camaro kit I needed the final body should be in paint in a few days I hope......
  7. have gotten majorly side tracked on this one, hope to squeeze some work on it soon. here is what got me off the rails on this build, http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=95563
  8. looking good JT! I still cringe a little everytime I look at the one I built, lol.
  9. Carl, it's Valspar brand, and it's called 'satin leafy rise'. it reminded me of the interior color 'antique jade green' that was in my 71 chevelle. may not be 100% the same, but it's close enough for me
  10. Tim, nice job. that's a real clean looking build, and the color is fabulous.
  11. looks like warm and rain so far. I will have my prostar, my 359 pete, pink 71 cuda and a 69 chevelle drop top there. I guess I will put TBILL on all my sheets so you guys will know it's me
  12. thanks guys, it's been a learning curve on the whole paint 'thing', but it's getting there made a little more progress, chassis pans are painted, building big blocks, painted, and the foundry was busy casting intake manifolds so at this point, the major assemblies are painted. need to do some sanding and complete painting the tail sections of the other 3 bodies, and drill what seems like 100 spark plug wire holes in the engine heads, but I am getting to the point of being able to start detailing all the sub-assemblies. going to the Fulton show tomorrow, and hope to find one more of these Camaro kits to round out the 6 pack [all the stores I frequent are out of them], already have the color picked out for the last one, worst case, I will order one on-line. with any luck, the next few updates will be of some finished sub assemblies. as usual, thanks for looking, and when the cars are done, I will start the auto transporter and chevy titan, and have a cool idea for the titan paint scheme......
  13. i plan on being there, been looking forward to it for awhile.
  14. this is pure magic! as mentioned, great use of 'found' objects, just terrific!
  15. hood looks great, foil looks good as well, keep at it.
  16. nice pair of 'vette's, love both the colors, well done.
  17. this should be pretty cool, will be following.
  18. looking great Chris! I can identify with the building of multiples at the same time.....
  19. sweet nibletts that's pretty! followed the build, fantastic work!
  20. thanks fellas got two more interior tubs/bits painted, all roughed in color-wise, got some chassis plates primed, and gas tanks painted, need to mask off the tanks and get out the semi-gloss and flat blacks, still need to paint the tail sections on the rest of them, once all the 'big' paint work is done, I will start detailing the interiors, and start gluing motors together etc. thanks for looking, stay tuned.......
  21. thanks guys. so far the only one that is polished out is the dark blue one, i hope to really get some shine out of the other ones once they are sanded and polished. Michael, i took a gamble and used testors lacquer primer, it worked out well, and again, the GM paint is from GM in spray cans [it also smells way worse than lacquer model paint, lol]. hope to get another interior or two in color tonight when i get home.
  22. just love this truck, just love it.....
  23. that's a great looking truck, well done!
  24. absolutely beautiful!
