  1. excellent news! congrat's!!
  2. congrat's! thanks, may just start collecting some snap kits for future use
  3. that's a slick looking unit, I look forward to seeing how this evolves, keep the updates coming.
  4. fantastic looking! great work as usual, this should be a stunner when done.
  5. like a buddy of mine says....'kick save, and a beaut!' nice save, looks great.
  6. and that's where I am at so far, thanks for looking.
  7. so here is the latest project, and as usual, at a snails pace, I thought it would be a cool project, and with some help from Hanks truck pic's, and model truckin for decals, and double take replica's for the wheels, I started in...
  8. well......I want to do an astro 95 with a Wilson livestock trailer, and another pete 359 with auto transporter filled with 69 Baldwin motion Camaro's and a titan with auto transport filled with 66 chevelle wagons/elcamino's / SS's. have it all 'in stock', just need to get after it. as luck would have it, NY winters are loooong, so I have a good shot at pulling it off
  9. thanks guys. KJ, I remember reading a thread here somewhere that had a pic of a roof that was smooth [on a 1:1 brochure], but I couldn't find it again. and as far as searching on line, not a lot of just roof pictures, not like it's a sexy picture opportunity, lol. Vince, thought of the archer rivet transfers, but was thinking in 'real life', the roof was rivet-less, hope to see ya on the chat soon. Sean, good looking roof! explain the filling process for me if you would, stretched sprue I get, but the application of such isn't in my skill set yet, so any more info would be great.
  10. how are you guys doing your roofs/joining back panels? are you smoothing the seams and losing the rivets, or what? got a little project started [will be doing a wip topic soon], but the joining of the panels has me a bit miffed, not sure how to go about getting rid of the seam. all suggestions welcome, and thanks in advance.
  11. i will admit, took me a few read thru's to get what you were saying, but i figured that's what you meant
  12. i had issues with hood fit/hinging. i also went for the seamless look on the sleeper, but it's like 5 parts, so i spent a ton of time sanding/putty/sanding/putty/sanding for what seemed like forever. also from what i understand, half of the frame/suspension is wrong versus what is on the real truck. and i guess nothing really fit too well. i have a thread somewhere on here of my build of it, did it with a tanker......double whammy.....
  13. Clayton, that t600a will test your patience. i will never build one of those again............ the FLD is pretty cool looking, have one in my stash as well.
  14. looking good! good luck with the mirrors.......had a heck of a time doing mine........
  15. great looking combo, truck looks terrific.
  16. great build, love the color.
  17. I took it like this, this is an old model, was in pieces, almost threw it out. made a back panel for it because when I first got it 20 years ago, no one made a day cab rear panel for it. that's my take on it anyway.
  18. i love the looks of that kit! nice score.
  19. overall look, spectacular, trash bag use, pure genius!! awesome looking set up, nice job.
  20. that looks fantastic, great job! you really nailed it, great work.
  21. that looks great! don't be afraid to let the paint fly, if it comes out bad, or not to your liking, you can remove it fairly easily and try again. I have re-done a few paint jobs, once you get it figured out, the sky is the limit. great build!
  22. the slot cars at 'my location' didn't seem to be moving much, I know they had the Camaro, a ford [not sure which one, sunliner/styliner? not a ford guy] I think 57 chevy and maybe a few others, if anyone is interested, I could make a trip there this weekend and maybe pick up a few if still there. lemme know via pm and I will see what's there.
  23. over the last few days, resin wheels for a rig project I am doing, a first place trophy at a show for my 71 cuda, decals in the mail from model truckin, and the best thing so far............. an 8lb 6oz grandson last night!!!! been a fabulous last few days
