  1. this has cracked me up for a few days now, I laugh out loud when I look at it or think about it.............good stuff........
  2. no pic's as two were customer cars, but yesterday i worked on/drove a '14 camaro ZL1, '12 gran sport vette convert and a '15 vette convert. all nice rides on a fabulous unseasonably warm October day.
  3. I always look forward to your updates, great building and even better stories!
  4. I was wondering that myself, must have been a huge hoard of stuff stuffed in the warehouse to supply all the stores [or most of them anyway].
  5. last two I did, after wet sanding with 2000 grit, I hit it with meguires 105 and 205. didn't do anything after that, gave me the look I was after, nice gloss and depth.
  6. any and all input on this build is appreciated, I have looked at Hanks site and all the CF pic's, but no interior shots yet, so any help on that would be great. as I say, I plan to get close, but not perfect. I managed to get the cab 'smoothed' out as far as the roof seam goes, and have a round of sanding to do on the back panel seams. I did however get the tanks done today, not as perfect as I would have liked, but they are good 'one footers' I will post as many pic's as I can on this build, still have yet to start on the trailers, so stay tuned...........
  7. thanks guys I have been looking at tons of pictures, need to modify a few bits here and there, but nothing major. it won't be exact, but it'll be close enough for me, lol. any idea what color interior these trucks would have had? I am thinking black, but have yet to find an interior pic of a CF rig...... plan to get some work done on it today, so hopefully some new pic's later on today.
  8. looking good so far, this is gonna be cool.
  9. how does the tanker itself compare to the AMT tankers build-wise? are they as horrible fitting? or a completely different animal build/fit wise?
  10. excellent news! congrat's!!
  11. congrat's! thanks, may just start collecting some snap kits for future use
  12. that's a slick looking unit, I look forward to seeing how this evolves, keep the updates coming.
  13. fantastic looking! great work as usual, this should be a stunner when done.
  14. like a buddy of mine says....'kick save, and a beaut!' nice save, looks great.
  15. and that's where I am at so far, thanks for looking.
  16. so here is the latest project, and as usual, at a snails pace, I thought it would be a cool project, and with some help from Hanks truck pic's, and model truckin for decals, and double take replica's for the wheels, I started in...
  17. well......I want to do an astro 95 with a Wilson livestock trailer, and another pete 359 with auto transporter filled with 69 Baldwin motion Camaro's and a titan with auto transport filled with 66 chevelle wagons/elcamino's / SS's. have it all 'in stock', just need to get after it. as luck would have it, NY winters are loooong, so I have a good shot at pulling it off
  18. thanks guys. KJ, I remember reading a thread here somewhere that had a pic of a roof that was smooth [on a 1:1 brochure], but I couldn't find it again. and as far as searching on line, not a lot of just roof pictures, not like it's a sexy picture opportunity, lol. Vince, thought of the archer rivet transfers, but was thinking in 'real life', the roof was rivet-less, hope to see ya on the chat soon. Sean, good looking roof! explain the filling process for me if you would, stretched sprue I get, but the application of such isn't in my skill set yet, so any more info would be great.
  19. how are you guys doing your roofs/joining back panels? are you smoothing the seams and losing the rivets, or what? got a little project started [will be doing a wip topic soon], but the joining of the panels has me a bit miffed, not sure how to go about getting rid of the seam. all suggestions welcome, and thanks in advance.
  20. i will admit, took me a few read thru's to get what you were saying, but i figured that's what you meant
  21. i had issues with hood fit/hinging. i also went for the seamless look on the sleeper, but it's like 5 parts, so i spent a ton of time sanding/putty/sanding/putty/sanding for what seemed like forever. also from what i understand, half of the frame/suspension is wrong versus what is on the real truck. and i guess nothing really fit too well. i have a thread somewhere on here of my build of it, did it with a tanker......double whammy.....
  22. Clayton, that t600a will test your patience. i will never build one of those again............ the FLD is pretty cool looking, have one in my stash as well.
  23. looking good! good luck with the mirrors.......had a heck of a time doing mine........
  24. great looking combo, truck looks terrific.
  25. great build, love the color.
