  1. Santa [the wife] got me this stuff daughter got me this,
  2. todays 'bit-o-stuff', had to take some liberties due to space and available stuff, but I like it so far. still have to wire the plugs, and do it all 5 more times, but here is a mock up so far, stay tuned....
  3. thanks guys sadly, only 3 workers, me, myself and i lol, but when the 3 of us feel like working, a lot gets done and i am quite sure the wife got me that magnet, must of been a friendly reminder, haha.............
  4. Joe, next time I will try that, bit for now, I will stick with my home-brew distributor [which I learned on here somewhere]. here is todays pictures of progress, bits and pieces PE wheel, fire walls painted, fans chassis parts in primer hope to get some done this week with having a few days off for the holidays, stay tuned.....
  5. I will get another one eventually, I have one of the older versions. yes, it would be nice if it weren't 'curbside', as I think it's a good looking truck and it'd be nice to have power plant in it to display.
  6. thanks guys. did some more unglamorous work today. I got the starters mounted, got the fans painted up, got the accessory drives about done, drilled holes for the heater hoses to go into the intake and water pump, and made and installed the little 'by pass' hoses that go from the water pump to the intake, and finally, I made 6 distributors [ plug wire, part of a paper clip and shrink tube], I do them this way as for the life of me, I cannot drill out the kit supplied ones to get wires in them.....any tips on that would be welcome anyway, doesn't seem like much progress, but with everything multiplied by 6, it chews up some time. hope to have some new pic's to post soon. thanks again for following along......
  7. Pavel got one, as posted in the kits I've scored recently thread,
  8. luxo blue metallic [2014 color], Nassau blue, crystal red metallic tint [2014 color], hugger orange, metallic dark gray [ could pass for 'tungsten', 2015 color], and finally 'green o'clock', another 2014 color. the dark blue, red and green I ordered from work [Chevy dealer] in spray cans, it's actually touch up paint for 1:1 cars.
  9. '69 Camaro's in these colors
  10. Dave, great insight into what the 'real deal' is as far as kit production is concerned, for that, I say thanks. I can't imagine the PITA that doing this results in [ idea to complete product]. I have bought several of your products, and must say, they are 'top of the heap', the pro star and '53ft trailer are just dynamite, and I have several others to build [lone star, a few more trailers, and a few Chryslers]. I know a lot of people whine about cost of kits, but to me, if it's a quality product, I will pay the piper. to me, although it's cliché, quality is priceless. I personally can understand the delays, but at the same time understand 'our' clamour to get the newest cool thing. in the grand scheme of things, I am not even a blip on the radar, but I will continue to buy your products, and wait patiently for them, because from what I have seen and built of your product, they are worth the wait, and the money.
  11. so I fired up the assembly line this morning and got a lot of unglamorous work done. got all the plug wire holes drilled [do the math, 6 motors = a lot of holes....] I got the heater hose holes drilled in the fire walls and got those painted, drilled a battery cable hole in each of the starters and got those painted, have the drive belt/pulley parts 1/2 painted and have the fans 1/2 painted. also finally got the green car sanded/polished and decaled. here are a few pic's of todays progress, with luck, I can get a bunch of little stuff done tomorrow morning, I 'think' I am going to focus on the motors and try to get those wrapped up. 6 at once can get a little overwhelming when having to do everything that many times over at once, but I'll get there
  12. $150 for this, and thought I got a good deal, complete, minus decals.
  13. got a new 2015 Silverado last week, double cab, black on black, absolutely love this thing
  14. another beauty for the truck stop! great work on that trailer man, just flat out awesome!
  15. great looking set up JT. you need to build a truck stop dio......
  16. cool looking project, love the look so far. will be following along for sure.
  17. will be watching as well, this is gonna be cool
  18. thanks, although the more I look at the bmf on the door panels, the less I like my efforts. just isn't as clean as I would like it to be. if the next set comes out better, I will for sure re-do these, if the next set comes out the same, then I will know it's the best I can do. hope to have time to get some work done this weekend on this project. thanks for following along....
  19. Joe, looking great man. a little tip, be prepared to go cross-eyed installing the wire looms, man those things are itty-bitty lol.
  20. that is impressive, very nice all the way around.
  21. great looking build, really like the color/stripe combo. well done.
  22. Ray, you must have one cool closet, cause that looks like a keeper to me. nice job on that, I also like the contrast between the two.
  23. looks fantastic, love it
  24. Erik, in real 'vision', you can see the difference in the stripe color versus the tail sections that are painted. I knew it was going to happen, but decided to live with it. over all, it does look ok, I think once all detailed up, it will blend in pretty good. Dan, you're right, I do think that'd be cool, but i'm set on doing the titan at this point.....just have an idea and gonna run with it.... Bo, thanks man Mike, you had me rolling on the floor with that........score anything good?? ok, some minimal progress, not happy with some of it, as the bmf and some of the proximity of some details got the better of me, but I have 5 more to improve upon [so some of this may get redone eventually] again, the interior bits are still 'loose', just trying to get a feel for it all. I used PE speaker grills and PE dash details. thanks for looking, hope to get more work done this weekend.
