  1. that's looking really good! love the snow picture
  2. Greg, nice haul! I got all this stuff last sunday,
  3. funny, can't picture life without the cat now. she's in my lap 'idling' now [when she purs it sounds like she is at an idle, haha]
  4. we had 2 dogs [super and sport] for a bit over 10 years, they were mutts, and were brothers, got them as pups. after they died, I was rather crushed, as they were family and told the wife I didn't want any more pets. so about 2 years later, my wifes grandmother passes away, and at the wake, my wife tells her aunt that she will be over the following week to get the cat, then looks at me and says 'oh, I forgot to tell you.....' so, the cat comes home, and is not happy! camps out under my recliner, and won't come out. after about 2 days, she starts coming out and hanging around the side of the chair within arms reach. so I start to pet her, and slowly, she came around to her new environment. she is now mostly glued to me [when she feels like dealing with humans], and follows me around the house, and really likes to curl up in my lap, especially when I am trying to type on this thing, lol. she's a real piece of work
  5. 22 years here, and have learned one important thing, if momma ain't happy, nobody's happy
  6. I find if the surface isn't 'rough' enough and I don't let it dry fully, it chips off. I have been using Tamiya white putty.otherwise, it works fine.
  7. nicely done, that looks fantastic!
  8. your build looks great, love the paint choice. I just finished the kit you have listed above, I thought it was a great kit, only issues [as mentioned in my build thread by others] were the hood hinges, and the door hinges, but no big deal. it builds up nice.
  9. glad to see this finished, stunning job, absolutely stunning!
  10. looks great in black, nice job!
  11. Cato, it has 3 filters. 2 lower, and a 'sheet' that goes on top. the lowest one I have not touched, the second filter I have vacuumed the debris/dust out of twice, and the top filter 'sheet' I usually change when it gets covered in over spray, or acts like it's impeding airflow thru it. this is why I suggest buying the extra roll of 'top sheet' filter paper, as that you will go thru rather quickly.
  12. I use the heck out of it... I also should mention, it's metal, not flimsy pressed card board, and the whole top hood is removeable.
  13. i have an artograph 1530, absolutely love it!! i spray enamel, lacquer, walmart spray bombs, rustoleum etc in it. it's a great size, i can fit tractor trailer sides in it etc.. if you keep the filters clean, you almost don't have to vent it outside, lacquer smells a bit, but not too bad. i highly recommend it. if you do get one, buy the extra roll of top 'sheets', you'll be glad ya did.
  14. looks great JT. love the trailer as well, way to update it. say it ain't so.......you ran out of orange paint???
  15. good lookin rig!
  16. good looking rig, more pic's please
  17. love it! my hood/grill looks the same.
  18. how we coming along on this Richard?
  19. I gotta think there is a good market for re-issues of this stuff, I, like many of you, built this stuff in my youth. and now 'we' have the disposable income to buy all this stuff from our youth......and usually buy more than one at a time. I find it funny that I see so many 'old' kits posted on this site that take me back to my youth, many of them I forgot about, but when I see them, it's a pure time warp. mold them, and we will buy.............
  20. wow, love the headers! I have two of these kits, and if you need, would part with a shaker hood to help you out. let me know if you'd like the hood.
  21. Rob, looks terrific, great job!
  22. thanks for the kind words, glad you all like it
  23. JT, well hurry up man! I know you build at the speed of light, so lets get this done so I can see the complete package
