  1. that looks great! good looking rig man, nice job!
  2. wow, I feel sorry for the people that miss out on the trucks, rigs, large scale, dio's etc. many of the models aren't my cup of tea, but I can sure appreciate what it takes to build them, and I learn a lot of stuff browsing thru things. only downside I have discovered, is it makes me buy more kits
  3. got this stuff over the past week or so and this today, . you guys have scored some sweet stuff this week! my favorite line.....'I was left unsupervised, this is what happens' , about fell outta my chair when I read that!
  4. that is beautiful! terrific job on a huge project
  5. keep looking, I have 2 of the trailer kits, one I paid too much for, the other I got for 'cheap', they are out there, just gotta be patient and keep looking.
  6. well done, looks great.
  7. I go often, my son stopped the other day and got me the ford race car hauler [new edition to the normal stock], and he said the isle was destroyed as they were 're stocking', I need to make a personal appearance and see whats new.
  8. no pic's, but past few days I have gotten the ROG KW dump truck, monogram 66 chevelle street rat, the ford race car hauler, and have two 77 chevy plow trucks and a 1/12th foose 69 Camaro coming in the mail, and picked up a jungle jim vega funny car and a 68 mustang 2n1 kit today.
  9. thanks guys. have made more progress on this, hope to have some new pic's up tomorrow. kind of getting tired of looking at orange parts, lol.
  10. beautiful job so far, great details, this is awesome!
  11. boy that looks good! I am loving this truck!
  12. as said, what's to not be happy with? looks fantastic, well done!
  13. that is too cool! I had one year years ago, black with red interior. not sure if they all had it, but mine had a chrome molding that followed the top edge of the rear quarter panel, started at the 'curve' by the rear quarter window and ended at the tail lamp extension. great looking model!
  14. nothing new really, remember the Toyota nova? Isuzu impulse/geo storm, Toyota/prism, Isuzu troopers could be had with GM 2.8 v-6's back in the day. there has been a lot of 'label' sharing over the years.
  15. looks great JT, another killer build for the fleet. i must say though, that one woulda really looked good in orange
  16. oh boy! that looks great, love the stripes/colors! love it so far
  17. got a hobby lobby or michaels store near you? hobby lobby usually has a great selection of paint and kits, and they have a 40% off coupon every week. check them out if you can.
  18. good looking rig ya got there! my theory so far [only back into building since sept last year] is detail the heck out of what the box gives ya. a little color here and there makes a huge difference [in my eyes anyway]. I don't know jack about big rigs, other than I like the looks of them, and like building them, so I try to add color to engines, shocks, etc., and try to detail the dash as best I can. biggest thing you can do, as mentioned earlier, is to paint the cab lights/tail lights/turn signals. if you don't have it already, testors has metallic amber paint and red metallic paint for just this purpose, and it makes a huge difference. it's the little things that can really make a model 'pop'. this was my first build after 20+ years away from it, not perfect, but a little paint here and there brought it to life, [/url ]
  19. funny, I was thinking gold..... if you could somehow fade the yellow on the back into the white 'rays' I think that would pull the back together nicely, then you could stripe around the whole thing, rather than separate the 'sun' from it. [hope that makes sense]
  20. you're doing a fantastic job on this build, great looking work so far
  21. pinstripe around the borders and it's a home run i think.
  22. this is going to be pretty slick, I like it
  23. great looking build, wow, super job!
