  1. Jeff, looking great so far. I see those trucks all the time myself. this promises to be a cool build.
  2. progress... slowly but surely i'm getting there.
  3. great looking build JT, that turned out awesome! love the paint fade as well. now ya gotta get a 53 foot reefer to go with it...............in orange of course
  4. no complete disasters yet, but several small ones on each kit I work on. was painting the seats for my pete 359 the other day, clipped on gator clips, and clips into slots on paint stand/table. so, as i'm painting, I pick the stand up to make sure I got the bottoms of the seats covered in paint.........wait for it.......top of the stand comes off, flops over, and one perfectly painted seat looks like it got dragged thru gravel......... this is the kind of stupid stuff that happens to me. it's always little things.
  5. ok, so where's the model? beautiful build, outstanding!
  6. thanks guys, next up is trying to BMF this thing.........wish me luck............
  7. don't fight it Chris, easier to just roll with it
  8. been working on this in between waiting for big rig parts to dry/set. pictures are sorta crummy, but I think you'll get the jist. color is testors pearl green over black primer and plain white interior. plan is eventually 2 elco's, 2 wagons and 2 SS cars on a revel auto transport pulled by an astro 95.
  9. thanks Terry. I tried just putting my index finger in the tire while trying to sand, but still couldn't get the center portion of the tread sanded, I didn't have much luck with the parting lines either, even with a new blade I could barely trim them. in person they don't look too bad though.
  10. Ben, I do believe I will be ordering some stuff from you soon! [as soon as I recover from the holidays that is....]
  11. looking great! that thing is huge!!
  12. lookin good JT, you gotta be runnin low on orange paint by now
  13. nice build, just enough extra to 'make it'. I do have a question though, I've been looking at this kit, are the rear fenders part of the body, or separate?
  14. if it's this buy several, they go for around $65. and share the link to the listing, I could use another one, or two, even though it's a euro trailer. although given your location, it's good for you
  15. that trailer kit is nice, almost builds itself.
  16. Lucas, no shiny stuff, lol. the tires in this kit are sooo soft, I tried to sand the tread to give them a more realistic look, but they are so soft it didn't work so well.
  17. that is fantastic, wow, great lines, great color. totally believable looking build. well done.
  18. progress....[couldn't pull off the color/shading on the air bags with what I had on hand, so stuck with flat black]
  19. nice! looks like the typical NY barn find vette, but those all ran when parked
  20. hit hobby lobby and michaels today, and got a few thing in the mail the past few days, bought a bunch of paint too. here's this weeks haul, and got this one a week ago or so
  21. more possibilities found at the hobby lobby! I was wandering around again and just for kicks, hit the doll house isle again. I found two things of interest, scale pine flooring and what I would call bead board/wainscoat[sp?]. here is the 'flooring' i'm thinking good trailer bed material. the 'bead board' thinking possible good pick up bed material. it may not work out, but I thought what the heck, maybe it will. just thought i'd pass it along.
  22. thanks. I also found some at Spaulding's since I posted this thanks to another member.
  23. that's a good looking combo right there! nice job!
  24. great build! lot of great details, and I really dig the trailer, nice job.
