  1. lookin good KJ, nice detail going on too.
  2. wow, what a beauty! excellent build!
  3. good call, where were you last month? I may have to revisit this thing and try to bmf them on the truck, or maybe paint them black.
  4. that looks big, mean, nasty and ugly [in a good way ]
  5. good looking rig right there.
  6. ah man, now the pressure is on, lol. got the cab/hood/doors/fenders in primer in the dehydrator. I glued parts of the sleeper together for preparation of wash/sand before prime. I taped the sleeper together with the floor in place, then glued the front wall [the pass thru to the cab part] on one side to one side of a sleeper side, and glued the back wall to the opposite side sleeper side, I figure in this way I can sand/prime both inside and out at once, and have two halves, rather than fight to paint stuff inside a box, if that makes sense. also made some progress on the frame. will post up some pic's tomorrow. thanks for following along.
  7. that's pretty cool! nice job.
  8. that's sweet! looks like the old girl has had some salt in that box
  9. awesome build, looks great.
  10. thank you as well guys. it's amazing how many everyday items get repurposed as model supplies.
  11. well, it begins... 3 hours later it's ready for a wash and wet sand, then off for primer. amazing how time goes by as you file/sand/fit repeat.....
  12. speaking of putty/filler, what're you all using for an applicator? I've been using a knife, but a 'scale squeegy' would be better. suggestions?
  13. I guess if he had a chevy volt, it wouldn't have been an issue
  14. thank you for the kind comment on my build. I was told that the log trailer kit was originally designed to be smaller scale, I wonder if that's why it is like it is?
  15. that's pretty slick, I like the way you think!
  16. thanks guys. I think i'm going to start it this weekend. have been looking over the instructions to get familiar with it, and I think I may start cab/body stuff first [like my last build], get the hard stuff done first, then relax and build anyone interested in a review on this kit, or is it old news? if interested, I took pic's of the sprue's and what-not just in case. I thought maybe a novice review might be entertaining, lol.
  17. hahaha....you guys are OTL out to lunch.....
  18. thanks for the reply. it's actually the testors acrylic paint and I want to run it thru an air brush. as I have read a ton of stuff on how paints of different composition don't play well together I wanted to make sure of what I needed under the acrylic.
  19. I have read a ton of articles on this paint, but either can't find the answer i'm looking for, or have over looked it, so forgive me if it has been covered already. the question is this, what primer is suitable for use under acrylic paint?
  20. hard to add anything to what's already been said, beautiful build, and very nice mix of 'old' and 'new'. well done sir!
  21. fantastic job! it looks real, incredible detail, and the paint,.....fugettabout it, WOW!!
