the decals are 'factory' so to speak, they are included in the kit. -
Quick Freightliner COE build
tbill replied to KJ790's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
oddly enough, I was in Oneida today and a RB Humphreys truck went thru the intersection. I thought 'wow, what a small world'. -

Mack R model and logging trailer
tbill replied to tbill's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
making progress in the new build area little mock up of sorts feels good to be going forward again, and it's starting to look like something rather than a bunch of assemblies laying around. -

wow, another stunning build! excellent work! -
haha, nope, no log cabin, when I did that room a few years back the kid picked out the paneling and said, hang it sideways so it looks like a log cabin, so that's how that happened [thought no way at first, but it does look sorta cool]. 6 months from now it's going to look like a tornado went thru, if I remember, I will post a picture it's just nice to finally have a room for me and my junk. thanks for looking.
-
hey all, I finally have a spot for all my 'junk', lol. I had been relegated to a corner in the dining room due to lack of space in the house, but my daughter moved out, so I now have a room all to myself got everything in there, organized, and ready to get some plastic glued together

check out www.hankstruckpictures.com as well, ton of pic's there of all sorts of rigs/trailers. [ I think that's the link...]

Kevin, good points. hadn't thought of the built storage thing, and ya, the rig guys would love way more rig related new stuff.

a 66 elco a 66 wagon and a new build room! my daughter is moving out, so 3/4 of her stuff is out of the room, and 3/4 of my stuff is in the room, lol. hope to have it set up fully by the end of this coming weekend. scored a sweet heavy duty table from work i've had in the garage waiting to go into this room, it's 6' x 3', plenty of build room on it!, and another smaller table to put the paint booth on, and i'll have room for the display case I scored a few weeks ago as well. i'll even be able to get the hoard out of the closet [the wife will be pleased ]

models from '73-'75, funny car snap togethers...
tbill replied to tbill's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
guys, thanks! wow, what a flashback looking at those was, lol. funny though, as a little kid, they seemed waaayyy bigger, haha. thanks again, that was a fun trip back in time. -
ok, my memory of this time is foggy/non-existent as I was 3-5 years old at the time, bit I remember my parents buying me snap together funny cars. I have no idea who made the kits, or what the drivers/cars were. anyone have any of these kits, or pictures of the kits from this time frame? it would be nice to see some, maybe it would jar the memory a bit. thanks, tom

almost everything irked me today. been a rough week and a half. got a lot of stuff going on, a lot to get done, and making no progress! ugh........ today was rough, everything I did went 'not so smooth', like the opposite of the midas touch, if ya get me.
-
it's funny in a way, because we all seem to have room to store our hoard of kits, yet actual display space seems to be an issue at times, kinda weird when ya think about it.....

What's your build percentage?
tbill replied to hotrod4ever's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
well, just recently back into plastic, but, i'm at about 70 kits in the hoard, and have managed to complete one truck and one trailer [rigs], and have 7 more in the mail. my build to buy ratio is horrible, but i'm having fun, and am well stocked -
How the right TV system changes my opinions
tbill replied to sjordan2's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
well, I can tell ya that 60 inches of plasma tv with a good surround sound wakes you up to many sights and sounds never experienced before. I had a 50 inch DLP before that I thought was great, but the plasma is just unreal in picture quality.
